Responsibilities Include


- Lead the development and design of applications


- Define and document the designs for applications and projects.


- Work directly with application architects to create enterprise solutions.


- May perform architect functions and role on projects


- Collaborate with a driven group of business analysts, developers, and managers to create a cohesive multi-year vision across teams and business lines.


- Performs and/or leads design, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, maintaining, and modifying computer programs of high complexity, significance, and risk.


- Estimates and defines time tables and project tasks as well as leading other technology professional in the estimation process


- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements.


- Leads staff and clients in investigation, analysis, and resolution of technical problems related to system functions, programming, and procedures.


- Mentor other developers on coding standards, best practices, processes, and procedures.


- Monitors operating efficiency of existing application systems.


- Conducts analysis of organizational needs for the development and implementation of application systems


Basic Qualifications


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience)


- At least 10 years of experience with developing and implementing applications


- At least 10 years of experience with C#


- At least 8 years of experience with SOA and/or Web Services


- At least 8 years of experience with SQL Server and/or other database technologies


- At least 6 year of XML experience


- At least 3 years leading and mentoring other technology professionals


Our ideal candidate has experience with and exposure to:


- N-tier and layered architectures


- Creating fluid, smooth, and intuitive user experiences


- Presentation standards and client-side frameworks, such as HTML5, CSS, jQuery, jQuery UI, KnockoutJS, and Twitter Bootstrap


- Conducting code reviews and ensuring code quality


- Major .NET frameworks: ASP.NET 4.5, WebAPI, WCF, MVC, and WebPages (Razor)


- Architecting, designing, and developing scalable, resilient, and high-volume applications and services


- Development design patterns (Inversion of Control, Dependency Injection, MVC, MVVM, and AMD)


- Multi-threaded, asynchronous, and transactional programming


- Ensuring cross-browser compatibility with legacy browsers


- Creating testable code for unit, performance, and security tests


- Relational databases, primarily SQL Server


- Data modeling


- A variety of software development methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile
