Lead BI Product Manager is responsible for developing strategies that leverage technology and data into critical information and insights that can be used to make comprehensive business decisions. This role also has the responsibility of development, launch and adoption of analytical tools and capabilities within the organization.


  • Leverage Business Intelligence and Analytics tools to develop strategy for the organization.
    • Learn what our business partner's objectives/mission is and apply analytics and visualizations through Tableau to impact their goals and objectives in a positive way that drives desired behaviors.
    • Ability to understand the business context and value derived from the various business cases undertaken.
    • Develop predictive/segmentation models to understand the behavior and impact.
    • Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated process to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify opportunities/issues, create hypotheses and execute analysis.
    • Utilize visualization and data management tools to create product proof-of-concepts.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships across different divisions within the company. 
  • Create and translate analysis into meaningful insights and present recommendations to decision makers.
    • Empower internal stakeholders with access to data and insights you created.
    • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to articulate complex concepts into a format digestible by a diverse audience.
    • Interpret business needs and stakeholder requests into clearly defined project requirements, functional specifications and user stories.
    • Create design documents, write programs, package, test, configure and deploy software. 
  • Lead design sessions with product owners across the organization to deploy innovative products and solutions and improve those currently in service.
    • Engineer end to end solutions including; data acquisition strategy, data modeling, ETL, analytics and visualizations.


  • Minimum of 4 years of previous work experience.
  • Extensive experience in business intelligence tools, including Tableau and Alteryx.
  • Extensive experience transforming business problems into Tableau Dashboard/workbook solutions.
  • Proficient in MS SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, SQL functions, SSIS and SSMS (e.g., able to write, run, and export queries in SQL to run complex data analysis).
  • Proficiency in programming languages, particularly R, Python and SQL.
  • Ability to create and/or analyze the return on investment (ROI) to maintain focus on activities that produce a return.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to transform business problems into addressable solutions.
  • Extensive experience creating models, extracting and combining multiple sources of data.
  • Extensive experience in data quality and data cleansing through transformation processes and making this reusable where applicable.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics/Mathematics or a related field.
  • Preferred Master's in Math/Statistics/Analytics or MBA with Analytics focus preferred
