Jira/TEMPO Administrator


The JIRA / Tempo Administrator is responsible for user management, training, and support of JIRA / Tempo to Development and Project Teams as needed. The JIRA Administrator meets with end users to gather requirements and make modifications to meet the business requirements. This position assists with the integration of JIRA to existing applications as well as new applications as required, and coordinates system upgrades with the server support team. This positon will develop metrics, dashboards, reports and advanced filters to provide end-users and business leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports. This position is expected to be the subject matter expert and first point of contact for JIRA / Tempo


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Administration



  • Respond to all incoming questions and inquiries related to JIRA / Tempo application
  • Prepare JIRA software, business and service desk projects, dashboards, reports and request for JIRA / Tempo related services
  • Conduct analysis and evaluation of existing systems to upgrade to latest version
  • Create customized dashboards for teams
  • Create complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes in JIRA
  • Create custom filters using JIRA query (JQL)
  • Manage user permissions to tools according to needs of projects and teams
  • Investigate and recommend various products from Atlassian for JIRA
  • Support of Tempo Time Tracking Tool in JIRA
  • Provide internal customer support during and after system upgrades
  • Test new versions of the tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility
  • Suggest improvement processes for screens, workflow procedures and reports

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent
  • 2 plus years of experience working with/supporting JIRA , Service Desk and Tempo
  • Software testing experience.
  • Experience with Bitbucket, JEMH, Tempo Time Tracking and other tools for JIRA a plus
  • Work experience with system security measures and software a plus.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial company a plus


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE



  • Strong knowledge of JIRA / Tempo Configuration with Jira Business, Software and Service Desk Projects.
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to work independently - acts pro-actively, prioritize incoming request and keep management apprised of any related issues.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, supporting CEO and other team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure - maintains personal composure and professionalism in an interrupt-driven environment.Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be flexible and embrace change.



  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, and priority management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the health care/payer/insurance industry - specific to claims processing systems, provider office operations, and customer service processes in a health care company a plus
