GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Assure that hardware, software and connectivity is kept functional and updated, according with the company needs as suggest and implement technological enhancements to increase efficiency and quality of our operations.



DETAILED DESCRIPTION:


IT related:



  • Assure the company's information is safe and protected from virus, malwares and hacks.
  • Maintain, track and prioritize helpdesk tickets.
  • Provide support to all employee's hardware and software technical issues.
  • Setup new computers, laptops and printers as needed.
  • Implement new software according with the department needs.
  • Write procedures/instructions for users to solve more recurrent technical issues.
  • Keep a continuous backup of company's information.
  • Perform enhancements to the database that supports company's operation.
  • Train other co-workers in Office tools and potential new software.
  • Improve information and layout of company website.
  • Keep an accurate inventory of all IT equipment available in the company.
  • Constantly learn about technological developments relevant for our business.
  • Coordinate with management improvement IT projects.
  • Inform management of high risk areas and address it according with management guidance.
  • All other task that may be related with IT requested by management


General:



  • Must promote a clean and safe work environment.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the efficiency, quality, safety, and hygiene of the operation.
  • Perform any activity necessary for the company to meet the needs of its customers.




PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


Must be willing to work flexible hours so that he/she can spend time communicating with "off shifts", whether they be weekday night shift or weekend shifts.


Availability to be on call.


Ability to lift and move IT hardware.


Good communication skills.


Ability to work in a team.






work experience requirements


Five or more years' experience in helpdesk environment and support to remote users.


Knowledge and experience with MAC and Windows operating systems.


Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, VLAN)


education requirements


BS in computer science, Science Information Technology, IT engineer, or similar field.
