Our client is looking for an IT Security Program Manager for a 9+ month project in Sacramento, CA.


The Program Manager will create and manage the overall multi-year IT Security project budget and plan. The plan will be comprised of technology projects and process and policy initiatives and tasks that are related to IT security. Many of these will relate to remediation of a HIPPA risk assessment. The Program Manager will build out a multi-year plan which will include high level budget, timelines and resources. The Program Manager will be responsible for updating the high level overall program schedule and will interact with multiple Project Managers in order to obtain status.


Requirements:


- Experience with large scale program or project management required.


- A minimum of 8 years project/program management experience required.


- Ability to perform project management, communication, and high level project budgeting required.


- Experience scheduling, leading and documenting meetings are required.


- Strong organizational and follow-up skills required.


- Ability to create reports and briefs for senior management (using Microsoft Office suite) required.


- Knowledge and experience in the area of IT audit, risk management or compliance is preferred.


- Experience in an academic medical center preferred.


- Experience with IT Security initiatives and environment in a healthcare environment, preferred.


- Experience with Infrastructure initiatives and environment in a healthcare environment, preferred.


Responsibilities:


a. Coordinate across IT teams, Compliance and other related groups to create a multi-year plan which identifies dates, budget and resources.


b. Provide leadership and act as the CLIENT Point-of-Contact/ Program Manager for the multi-year plan.


c. Lead some remediation projects/initiatives.


d. Coordinate with other project managers to obtain status on other remediation projects/initiatives.


e. Independently schedule, lead and document project meetings


f. Identify risks and issues and mitigate or escalate appropriately.


g. Lead the creation of RFP(s) to provide remediation services on some complex items.


h. Participate as an analyst contributing to overall project deliverables if needed.
