Serving as a liaison to IS&T, Operations, and Client Management departments, the selected professional will manage all aspects of projects using efficient planning, monitoring and controlling processes to enhance the efficiency & effectiveness of business & operational functions through the application of technology. Able to see the big picture while overseeing the details, this dynamic individual will:



  • Assist in estimation of project and developer time (resource allocation).
  • Measure and monitor goal progress on a daily basis by tracking all technology projects and reporting to senior management on a weekly basis.
  • Present project summaries and status information to all levels of the organization (must possess strong presentation and communication skills).
  • Maintain all documentation for technology projects (product, team communications, and development documentation).
  • Ensure projects are successfully executed and delivered according to schedule and budget.
  • Foster a team environment
  • Coaches and mentors project team members
  • Mentors other project managers around project management methodology
  • Oversee all aspects of the SDLC (software development lifecycle) and project lifecycle.
  • Work with Senior Leadership to align project and strategic goals.
  • Enforce sound project management "best practices."
  • Think proactively, rather than reactively.


Qualifications


The desired candidate will possess the following skills and competencies:



  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with IT focus degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in broad-based information systems, full life-cycle application development and/or building enterprise applications and/or data warehouse planning and development.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • At least 2 years leading and directing project tasks.
  • Experience communicating with a variety of both business and technology stakeholders and cross-functional groups.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum software development framework.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring project team members preferred.
  • Experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiation, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment, communicating and influencing effectively at all levels of an organization required.
  • Background should include system processes and proficiency with structured design and/or programming methodologies.
  • Demonstrated application of and proven success of project management methodology utilizing a team based approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently while handling multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines.
