Job Description Project Overview:

  • E-commerce Producer, Online Google Store, Globalization Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey.
  • From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base.
  • This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
  • The Google e-Commerce Store (www.google.com/store) is Google's online destination that showcases and sells new devices made with Google technology.
  • On a day-to-day basis, the Google Store marketing team is brainstorming innovative ideas to showcase flagship products, driving awareness and traffic, running promotions, acquiring new customers, growing relationships with existing customers, assessing opportunities analysis and research, and finding creative ways to bring unique online shopping experiences to life.
  • As a Producer for our e-commerce platform, Google Store (Google's owned and operated online hardware store for made by Google products such as Pixel, Google Home and Chromecast), you will provide strategic and executional leadership across our consumer marketing as an integral member of the Google Retail Marketing team.
  • Your key responsibilities include overseeing the execution of global program initiatives & product launches across the Google Store team including resource allocation, brief alignment, project management, agency / vendor management, cross-functional representation & ultimately execution quality.
  • You will also work collaboratively with cross functional and regional teams in strategy alignment, UX / Product strategy, GTM planning & execution across the various programs that span the calendar year.
  • This team plays a pivotal role in coordinating & keeping our creative and engineering teams aligned & on course to execute our Google Store deliverables.
  • As part of the retail marketing team, you will join a team of go-to-market product marketers, strategists, producers, product marketers and brand managers whose mission it is to fundamentally change how people shop for Google products.
  • In this critical and highly visible role, you will have an opportunity to make direct impact on the future of a rapidly growing product and channel at Google. Know the user. Know the magic.

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory Required Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in any field in lieu of minimum 12+ years practical experience.
  • 8-10 years of experience managing the design and creative development of a digital, e-commerce retail platform
  • Demonstrated portfolio of superlative written and verbal skills as well as strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, and tech work environment in often uncertain and ambiguous circumstances
  • Exceptional people management skills - team focus in a high paced environment with a proven ability to proactively establish rapport, credibility and influence, and drive results throughout a highly matrixed organization
  • Self-motivated, flexible individual with strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated portfolio of superlative written and verbal skills as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results-oriented with a enthusiastic and a positive attitude

Desired Nice to have skills/Not Required:

  • Ability to balance working in a creatively driven organization, with an analytical and disciplined approach to marketing
  • Strong cross-functional relationship management skills.

responsibilities:

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Program Managers & the Creative Producers to plan projects, define milestones, assign resources, assess risks, and help projects meet business objectives, deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Lead & mentor the creative producers through strategy alignment, briefing, design development and execution x-channel by coordinating work across Programs, Product Marketing, Interactive Design team, Creative Studio and Production.
  • Partner with internal procurement teams to issue and manage agency agreements and contracts, including authoring Statement of Work for all projects involving external agency partnerships and work closely with internal creative teams & agency partners to deliver exceptional creative work
  • showing a keen eye for great design & a focus on brand integrity.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Partner with each Producer / Creative Team Lead to plan and project quarterly budgets and ensure funding and spend are on track to meet budget expectations, flagging any over/under spend trends to upper management.
  • Identify team needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, asset management, etc., and implement or drive required changes to make sure the creative producers & wider creative group are working at optimum efficiency (& happiness).
