Apply now for immediate consideration! Well established comprehensive facilities energy efficiency solutions provider is seeking a mid-level Construction Inspector for a 8+ month contract assignment at Ft. Knox, KY. Candidate will support an on-going energy retrofit project on the base.

Responsibilities for the Inspector

  • Candidate will support the project site and perform quality control inspections on a daily basis, then recreate reports to update project teams
  • Observe and oversee project subcontractors to ensure work deliverables are done to required specifications
  • Monitor daily construction activities and materials delivered to the site
  • Review, monitor and, respond to if necessary, all special inspection and material testing performed by third parties
  • Candidate will design and develop the Quality Control Plan, then manage the performance of the QCP

Requirements for the Inspector

  • 5 + years experience in commercial or industrial construction projects, including site inspection and quality control
  • Experience with building energy systems, ideally including HVAC, controls, lighting, central utilities, electrical and M&P systems strongly desired
  • Experience performing retrofit work on military bases preferred
  • Completion of the US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management (CQM) training course (or similar training from NFC or other DOD project) s preferred
