The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.

The Infrastructure Specialist is leadingble in managing the IT software and support IT produce services for the clients project under the guidance of the DoD and Army security regulations. The project data center and OS services are managed by the Army. Primary responsibilities for the developer include the following:

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware and server resources. Resolve issues as identified
  • Test, install, and configure product software on servers as needed to ensure the program security is in compliance with the Army IT security compliance guidelines.
  • Review manufacturer-supplied software upgrades and test and install approved upgrades to support project needs.
  • Run deployment for code release.
  • Document all work performed as required by project procedures.
  • Evaluate current computer system administration processes and make recommendations for quality and efficiency improvements.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Able and Willing to pass the National Agency Check with Local Agency and Credit Checks (NACLC).
  • Security + certification.
  • Ability to work from the client site daily.
  • 1+ years of hands on experience in managing software installation, product configuration, and upgrades.
  • Motivated, ambitious person, and willing to learn new systems from development to infrastructure.


Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Experience working with Army data center.
  • Experience with performance security compliance using A Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
  • Experience with the following software: WebSphere Portal, IBM Connections, Lightweight Enterprise
  • Applications ( LEAP) formerly known as Forms Experience Builder, IBM Cognos Business Intelligence, Web Content Manager, Web Servers (IBM HTTP Server), Databases (DB2) and ETL tools (DataStage), LDAP (Tivoli Directory Server).
  • Monitoring and management software (e.g. Splunk, Nagios, HP/Dell/ Hitachi) experience.
