Defense

The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.

Responsibilities

Responsible for operating, maintaining, and defending the confidentiality, integrity and availability of USSTRATCOM's mission critical networks and implements escalation notification procedures.

Candidate must be able to perform the following tasks:

Provide Cybersecurity Network Defense (CND) support in the following areas:

Provide Subject Matter Expert advice for hardware

Provide network operations and maintenance for critical network defense infrastructure Protect the confidentiality, integrity & availability of the customer's data

Monitor equipment for misconfigurations, anomalous activity, and network intrusion attempts Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to network defense incidents

Review, interpret, log and act upon cyber intelligence reports as necessary

Review and respond to SPAM reported by users

Initiate incident response & handling, and assist with forensic analysis

Monitor and use network security systems to include Firewalls, IPS/IDS, review SNORT rules and alerts

Use network forensics tools, email content scanner, NetFlow collection/display systems, network replay devices, among other network defense software and tools

Maintain a 24/7 work schedule; and meet Department of Defense CND certification requirements

Initiate incident response & handling, and assist with forensic analysis

Document daily events accurately with details and brief coworkers and leadership on events

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Network Administration and/or Network Security Knowledge and Skills desired:

Basic use of Command line interface Meet DoD 8570/8140 requirements for IAT-II w/ CSSP Incident Responder certification

Strong desire to learn and work in a live Network Operations and Security environment Willingness to work shift to provide 24/7/365 operations support Windows Administration skills Network, Operating System and Application troubleshooting VMWare ESXi and Virtual Machine familiarity Microsoft Office user skills Desired education:

Degree in Information Technology Desired certifications: CYSA+, CEH, SEC+, Net+, CCNA TS clearance, eligible for special accesses
