Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIS protects Wells Fargos infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws. EIS is part of Wells Fargo's Corporate Risk organization and is led by the Chief Information Security Officer.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual to lead and manage geographically dispersed team members responsible for providing secure LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) solutions across the enterprise. This team is responsible for the installation, configuration, administration of Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition (ODSEE), PingDirectory and CA Directory solutions. This position provides leadership and decision-making for the department; and will work collaboratively with others to continually increase the security, efficiency of processes, and quality of service for our line of business partners, and to meet the demand of changing technologies while reducing complexity, increasing security of our directory solutions and meet the growing demands for our services.

Works with and influences senior information security and line of business management to identify, formulate, and implement LDAP security solutions and controls for functional areas managed to mitigate risk. Has a broad awareness of the state of information security across the enterprise and industry and influences change to information security policy, standards and procedures. Assess impact and risk, provide insight/direction on mitigation, and influence security solutions. Position will lead process improvements, operation efficiency, and capacity planning to meet technical and business demands.

The position requires a thought leader who can drive innovation for delivering security; while maintaining critical metrics and unit cost information that provide transparency to the service. This role requires a clear understanding and technical knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), particularly LDAP. This position also ensures staffing is adequate to support our secure LDAP solutions.

The position will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating the relationships between the technology organization and various line of businesses
  • Conducts research and makes recommendations regarding security, risk, innovative solutions, products and services
  • Influences and recommends technology solutions to meet enterprise needs
  • Monitors projects to ensure timely delivery and partner satisfaction
  • Maintains regular communication with all levels of leadership within our IT organization
  • Maintains operating policies and planning for the department
  • Providing direction and on-going leadership for 24/7 support in an on-call rotation
  • Overseeing team members who provide support, receiving complex and critical consultation/escalation
  • Guiding subject matter experts responsible for retaining knowledge/expertise surrounding the end-to-end implementation, functionality, and external dependencies
  • Assessing and instituting career development/training opportunities, mentorship to team members, performance reviews, as well as lead improvements to the department service model, processes, and work flow

Position Expectations:

  • Ability to effectively drive and lead change in an organization with Wells Fargos size, scale and complexity
  • Ability to make audit-related assessments, document changes needed, deploy feasible audit-related changes
  • Meeting facilitation experience in leading discussions that result in consensus and commitment
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes, and implement change
  • Ability to manage efforts that require integration of multiple technology systems, operations, or processes
  • Ability to manage initiatives including: detailed planning, process management, and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: information security, IT systems security or technology experience that includes 2+ years direct experience in information security
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in an Information Security or IT environment
  • 3+ years of financial industry experience
  • 9+ years of experience with Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition (ODSEE) administration, PingDirectory UnboundID, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing a technology infrastructure function, application or information security function that has impact across multiple lines of business
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively influence and interact with all levels of an organization
  • 5+ years of process definition and documentation experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of application profiling and performance tuning of highly scalable and available systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of security solutions including: authentication and directory services, virtual private networks, application systems and public key infrastructures
  • Knowledge and understanding of security technologies and concepts including identity management, single sign on, directory services, role based access control, cryptographic algorithms, mutual authentication and certificate management
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology application support: production and nonproduction environment
  • Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives

Other Desired Qualifications

3+ years of experience managing large information security functions
