Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIS protects Wells Fargos infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws. EIS is part of Wells Fargo's Corporate Risk organization and is led by the Chief Information Security Officer.

Job Description:

Information security engineer with hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise solution.

The position requires the ability to plan and document changes accurately while working to a schedule. Engineer will be responsible for consulting with project teams, designing, and implementing splunk dashboards and webpages supporting Wells Fargos lines of business. They will also ensure compliance with corporate security policies and standards. They will need to be capable of forging relationships and interacting with lines of business, application and server administrators, project managers, and vendors. -- The engineer will be responsible for assembling data from clients, architecture, vendors, and other sources for new or existing initiatives and designing compliant solutions. Engineer is responsible for meeting group and department change goals and ensuring proper change control processes and procedures are being followed. Accurate financial forecasting of time must be provided to project management to ensure overall team financial goals are being met.



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of information security applications and systems experience
  • 2+ years of Splunk development experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in a large enterprise network organization
  • 5 + years of Networking experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced Information Security technical skills and understanding of information security practices and policies
  • Ability to manage complex issues and develop solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Perl or Shell experience



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in network infrastructure [includes routers, switches, internet protocols (IP), and virtual local area networks (VLAN)]
  • Industry recognized security certifications
  • Fundamental knowledge of secure engineering best practices
  • Knowledge of regulations required in a financial environment.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams


Job Expectations

  • Ability to work on call as assigned
  • Flexibility to frequently be on call beyond normal working hours
