Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIS protects Wells Fargos infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws. EIS is part of Wells Fargo's Corporate Risk organization and is led by the Chief Information Security Officer.

Job Description:

Information Security Engineer on the enterprise Proxy Engineering team, focusing on delivering secure, high-performance Proxy services to the enterprise. Qualified candidates will have significant recent experience with proxy systems.

This position will:

* Work as a member of a geographically diverse team of Internet technology experts to administer and maintain large-scale technology solutions that provide critical network services utilizing numerous advanced technologies across a global enterprise environment.

* Maintain and administer Proxy systems in support of enterprise business and technology goals.

* Design and engineer robust connectivity solutions that emphasize security and network management best practices.

* Respond to break/fix issues concerning web proxy systems, performing technical diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution for intermediate to complex data communications issues.

* Provide support and maintenance assistance for a constellation of production Symantec Proxy Secure Gateway appliances that provide web connectivity services to the enterprise.

* Provide analysis and consulting services to all Lines of Business, including customer-facing business units and other technology teams, for the purpose of designing and implementing web proxy solutions in support of revenue-generating and revenue-supporting applications and other technology systems.

* Provide technical expertise for support and resolution of production problems, always seeking to identify root cause and to prevent future recurrence.

* Help drive the development of scripts and other automation techniques to increase the manageability, efficiency, capability, capacity, and security of proxy systems.

* Help drive the creation of efficient, repeatable and measurable human processes for deploying, maintaining, administering, and supporting web proxy systems.

* Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including functional requirements, technical designs, network diagrams, workflow diagrams, application communications diagrams, configuration documents, support documentation, procedural documentation, training materials, and some project documents.

* Interact with IT business partners and other internal customers on a regular basis to provide customized solutions to meet business needs.

* Participate in vendor support relationships and take an active role in ongoing discussions and meetings to facilitate the exchange of information between vendors and Wells Fargo technology teams.

* Participate in audit and compliance activities, always seeking to ensure that our technology systems and human processes comply with regulatory requirements and standards.

* Perform periodic vulnerability scans of networks to identify security vulnerabilities and provides remediation alternatives and conducts security risk assessments to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and adherence to best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of information security applications and systems experience
  • 5+ years of Network experience
  • 3+ years of experience in network infrastructure [includes routers, switches, internet protocols (IP), and virtual local area networks (VLAN)]
  • 2+ years of SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Internet security protocol experience
  • 2+ years of Internet Protocol (IP) experience
  • 2+ years of UNIX experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Symantec Proxy Secure Gateway (Proxy SG)

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced Information Security technical skills
  • Ability to manage complex issues and develop solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of web tools: commercial automated and manual proxy
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 1+ year of JavaScript development experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of firewall, proxy or email architecture particularly as it applies in a mitigating control functionality
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Ability to communicate confidentially and professionally

Job Expectations

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Flexibility to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day
