Enterprise Information Securitys (EIS) vision is to provide Wells Fargo world leading cyber security risk management. Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIS protects Wells Fargos infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws. EIS is part of Wells Fargo's Corporate Risk organization and is led by the Chief Information Security Officer.

Job Description:

Participates in the research, analysis, design, and implementation of complex network security protection technologies, including:

  • Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) prevention solutions;
  • Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), specifically certificate management, encryption, and decryption;
  • Network traffic management solutions;
  • Associated automation, reporting, and metrics; and
  • Infrastructure lifecycle management with installations, patching, code upgrades, and decommission activities.
  • Participates in the development of security solutions for the company's networks, PKI, application systems, and authentication services to ensure the security of the network and confidential data
  • Identifies and/or evaluates emergent vulnerabilities using vulnerability scans, associated risks, and threats as well as providing remediation or mitigation alternatives
  • Serves as a technical lead responsible for specific areas of computer security incident response activities to include DDOS prevention solutions; PKI, certificate management, encryption and decryption; network traffic management; deep-packet inspection; network scanning; automated threat analysis; intrusion detection technologies; monitoring; scanning; cyber threat reporting; and development/implementation of vulnerability mitigation strategies.
  • Participates in security risk assessments to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and adherence to best practices
  • Participates in the evaluation of vendor proposals, new and existing security designs, and emerging security technologies and systems


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of information security applications and systems experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in a large enterprise network organization
  • 5+ years of Red Hat Linux or UNIX experience
  • 5+ years of experience with patching and compliance for UNIX, Linux or Windows
  • 3+ years of build-deploy automation and configuration experience within the Linux and Unix environment
  • 5+ years of TCP/ IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) experience
  • 3+ years of technical documentation and publication experience
  • 3+ years of vendor management experience
  • 3+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • 3+ years of experience in network security infrastructure (includes firewall, intrusion detection, and cyber threat)



Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced Information Security technical skills
  • Ability to manage complex issues and develop solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of public key infrastructure
  • Knowledge and understanding of network automation or scripting testing techniques and solutions
  • 2 + years of experience developing or supporting IT Service Management solutions (e.g. Incident Management, Change Management, Asset Management and Configuration Management)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)



Job Expectations

  • Ability to work on call as assigned
  • Flexibility to frequently be on call beyond normal working hours
