Our client is looking for an Incident Response Operations Center Manager for a permanent opportunity in Rancho Cordova, CA.

Job description

Position Purpose: Manage department staff including hiring, performance management and career development to ensure alignment with defined goals.

Plan and direct the daily activities of a team focused on a particular system or technology.

Liaison with managers in IT and other functions, applying standard solutions and processes.

Apply specific technical expertise in depth to address technical and business issues.

responsibilities:

Preferred Experience:

Experience Managing a Network Operations Center (NOC)

Experience Leading an Incident Response Operation Center (IROC) highly preferred

Experience with major Incident management (MIM) with in information technology

Ability to multitask and prioritize competing priority tasks

Ability to work in an environment which can be highly dynamic and fast pace

Willing to work afterhours including on call, evening, weekends and on-call

Willingness to travel up to 20%

What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements on this position?

As a government contractor, this position requires U. S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense form SF86 or higher security Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience (if the candidate does not have a degree they need 4 extra years of experience). 5+ years of related IT experience. Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff.
