The Planning and Initiation Team provides support to the Wealth and Investment Management Technology (WIMT) organization. The Team is responsible for the facilitation of the Ideation, Funding and Initiation activities for WIMT projects, partnering closely with business and technology leaders to guide them through the various process steps. The Team manages the WIMT Project Roadmap of projects to provide visibility into active and planned work to aid in the capacity reviews and financial budgeting processes. The Team is also responsible for the Ideation Sizing process, utilizing a common estimation framework to ensure projects are sized consistently and effectively, as well as to ensure project sizings are reviewed and socialized with impacted parties for awareness and approval. In addition, the Team is responsible for ensuring our projects follow the WIMT Release Management processes and provide ongoing guidance and council to project teams to ensure their success during their execution of the Enterprise Project Methodology, culminating in the facilitation of release weekend activities for significant release events.

Responsibilities include:

  • Gain and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of the business systems and processes used in Wealth and Investment Technology
  • Work with business and technical partners to articulate requirements for vendor review and sizing
  • Partner with business and technical partners to oversee the implementation of project management policies with strategic third party partner
  • Escalate engagement issues and sizing delays with leadership
  • Partner internally with multiple layers of business and technology leadership to ensure understanding of engagement processes with vendor
  • Represent Brokerage Technology and specific vendor engagement processes with other teams throughout the Enterprise
  • Partner with other team members to support additional Planning and Support Services functions within Wealth and Investment Management Technology, which could include the following: development of powerpoint presentations to be used to convey status or training, usage of excel workbooks to track data from multiple sources, internal process review and enhancements
  • Communicate clearly both in writing and in person with business and technical team members

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of implementation experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience, additional implementation experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Basic Microsoft Visio skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Outstanding problem solving skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience reviewing business requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of Brokerage and or Wealth industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of general project management office processes
  • Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
  • Ability to facilitate and lead meetings to reach conclusions, identify tasks, record actions and achieve results
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to facilitate training
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes and implement change
  • Flexibility to take assignments throughout the Planning and Support Services team, as needed
