Job Description (Qualification fields are included & defined below for more information, see Job Qualifications Policy):

This position is the development lead for the Wells Fargo IAM system, built on the Oracle OIM software, a java-based Weblogic solution. The IAM system provides a single platform to help manage access for Wells Fargo applications and assets, providing request, approval, provisioning and certification capabilities.

Candidate will lead a team of on- and offshore developers to deliver business functionality with the niche Oracle OIM product. Role will be part of large scale enterprise program through 2018, with a set release calendar, involving two major releases per year plus two maintenance releases per year. In addition, candidate must manage and accommodate fixes to production issues as needed, outside of the release calendar.

Candidate must manage scope, design and delivery for all facets of the solution, and lead solutions to production issues. Candidate must negotiate between his team, our business, and the vendor to continually move the solution forward, with the goal to ultimately manage all access needs for over 2000 applications in Wells Fargo.

Responsibilities include:

The leader will manage a team of onshore and offshore developers and contractors. Currently there are three full time onshore developers plus one contractor, and nine offshore developers plus six contractors. The numbers may grow as we ramp up concurrent development releases and peripheral development initiatives While the leader will not have direct reports from an HR standpoint, he/she will be responsible for the work efforts and personal development of staff. This includes providing guidance and mentoring for junior staff and identifying skill development opportunities The leader needs to interact with our business partners and negotiate scope and delivery timelines Selected candidate will lead design and development efforts using full Wells Fargo software development lifecycle (SDLC) approach Responsible for quality and delivery of the requirements, and for ensuring that all development tasks are assigned and completed in accordance with project schedules and plans Supports all aspects of application design, development, implementation and maintenance Primary point of escalation for any task or technical issues encountered by the application development team Provide guidance and direction on production issues Responsible for properly staffing and delivering on commitments Leader must seek to understand key principles of access management, and contribute ideas to help Wells Fargo reduce risk Responsible for investigation of production issues and identifying short-term and long-term solutions. This is particularly important as IAM leverages a vendor product that is not nimble, and often takes a long time to get a final product fix, so interim solutions are important Assures quality, maintainability, and extensibility for supported systems and applications Continuously improve our processes to raise quality and shrink timelines Work closely with solution architect, business partners, program leadership, testing leadership, engineering team and vendor (Oracle) to deliver business needs, enable application onboarding and improve efficiency of design/development/testing and production issue investigation/resolution Work with architects to determine technical strategy and direction Communicate to program and technology leadership status of efforts and raise issues appropriately Manage staffing and budget for development.

The preferred work location is AZ-Chandler or NC-Charlotte. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to these locations, with no relocation assistance.

  • Demonstrated experience leading onshore and offshore development resources
  • Experience with Devops demonstrated leadership and implementation
