Navy Marine Corps

The Navy Marine Corps business group provides end-to-end IT solutions to the Department of the Navy including transport, networking, end user hardware and services, cybersecurity and staffing. Using agile engineering and DevOps methods, we produce mission-specific solutions to solve the Fleet's challenges.

Responsibilities

High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Four to nine (4-9) years of related experience. Under general supervision, operate all aspects of Information Systems (IS), data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. Implement and monitor security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Governmental requirements for security on these systems. Develop and execute Government approved security policies, plans, and procedures; implement data network security measures; operate Network Intrusion Detection and Forensics; handle IS security incidents; support COOP/DR plans, and perform certification of IS and networks. Operate Electronic Key Management System, other information security duties, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Operate Host Based Security System (HBSS), firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, other point of presence security tools, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and related security operations. Five to nine (5-9) years of information technology (IT) experience required. Valid DoD 8570: A+ce Certification (could accept Network +ce, Security +ce, or CISSP). If expiration date of Certification is less than 60 days from hire date, must provide a CompTIA report showing candidate has at least 75% of required CE Units needed to renew cert on file with CompTIA. Please attach candidates 8570 certification and CompTIA CE report showing CE Units if cert is expiring within 60 days when responding.

Position is subject to FAR 52.222-41, Service Contract Act (SCA) of 1965, as Amended Nov-07, and the most current SCA Wage Determination (WD) issued by the Government under the NGEN contract which is attached to this Request.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows OS, Active Directory, Service Manager, Remedy, Remote Desktop, and Hardware/Software troubleshooting.
  • SECRET clearance (SSBI preferred)
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • Basic network troubleshooting (TCP IP)
  • DoD 8570: Security + Certification on hand on first day.
  • NMCI experience or knowledge preferred
  • Excellent customer service / customer interaction skills
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills for trouble-shooting and trouble ticket handling
  • Demonstrated aptitude and desire to excel as an IT professional/leader
