Permanent position: P&ID DESIGNER opportunity at a well established firm near Sunset Hills, MO in St Louis southern metro. Technical or vocational school education, or Junior college/two-year college training and 1 to 3 years experience with working knowledge of CAD for mechanical applications.

Responsibilities for the I&C Designer

  • Develop and maintain project specific Process and Instrumentation Diagrams showing interconnecting piping, equipment, and instrumentation used to control the process; ensure project specific requirements, code requirements and N/E standards are met. Develop process flow diagrams as needed. Create and maintain Sales proposal P&IDs when required.
  • Verify information on drawings, as well as data entered into intelligent P&IDs, is accurate and complete
  • Determine proper pipe schedules, code breaks, line numbers and pipe descriptions utilizing Thermal Data Sheets, Company Standards, Layout Guidelines and Work Instructions
  • Assist I&C Engineers with tasks such as data sheet development, supplier documentation review, document submittals, etc

Requirements for the I&C Designer

  • Technical or vocational school education, or Junior college/two-year college training
  • Need working knowledge of CAD
  • A PLUS if have P&ID experience
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
