This is a temporary position with possibility of permanent employment.


The right individual will be involved with the quality assurance and support group in delivering high quality service to customers and field personnel. The candidate should be able to analyse complex technical issues, going through log files, and address the problems in a clear fashion. The successful candidate must have a friendly work style, be exceptionally well-organized, able to effectively multi-task, prioritize, and take initiative.


Requirements :


- BS in Computer Science or EE is a plus.


- Solid troubleshooting skills of computers, hardware digital and analog devices is a must.


- A fundamental understanding of how to systematically troubleshoot in mixed OS environments, various applications and custom build software via logs.


- Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and to prioritize work.


- Exceptional assessment and organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through.


Desired Skills/Experience:


- Effective presentation, oral, and written business communication skills with various audiences and levels.


- Experience or knowledge with sensor systems and data processing of sensor data: GPS, DGPS, GPS Data collector, gyro, compass is a plus.


- Knowledge of SQL, MySQL, PHP, HTML, XML is a plus.


- Excellent knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, IE, etc.).


- Familiarity with remote control/ftp software (ex. RDP, VNC, FileZilla, etc.).


- Some experience in Network, LAN, WAN, DNS, VPN, TCP, UDP, WiFi.


Responsibilities:


- Day-to-day support for various tasks from customers or internal requests.


- Oversee and ensure all Trouble Tickets and Service Requests are addressed within the SLA'S that are in place to our customers.


- Failure analysis and troubleshooting of hardware and software problems.


- Maintain and track a list of open issues, assigning tasks to appropriate staff, and creating RMAs.


- Installing and testing new version of software packages.


- Alpha testing, functional verification, and manufacturing production support.


- On-call rotation, after-hours support (evenings/weekends) may be occasionally required.
