The Role:
Our sales/business development people are lucky enough to sell some of the world's most innovative IT solutions. They also get to interact with clients in a wide array of fields. To make sure you make the most of these opportunities, youll benefit from some of the best training in the world to help you grow your career and gain exposure to international clients. The ability to articulate what IBM sells in terms that are relevant to the client is critical. You will work both with IBM teams and independently, rapidly assuming direct responsibility for new business opportunities, in a particular specialist IT area. It should be noted that this role has excellent prospects for growth and movement within IBM.

Principal Responsibilities:
You will be working with IBMs Marketing and Sales teams to develop and execute sales campaigns.
Through continuous personal development you will become a subject matter authority and act as an influencer and trusted advisor for your clients.
Social Media will play a big part in how you engage, interact and influence your clients.
You have personal drive and ambition to make you stand out.
You will build your network of contacts both within IBM and your client base, making yourself the go to person for your specific field.
You will take personal interest in everything you do, putting your client first, being prepared to take on challenges, solve problems and work with your team to get things done.
You have strong communication skills and are able to present complex concepts, designs and solutions, verbally and visibly.

Qualification and Experience
No selling experience is required however a high level technology background and a year in a business development role would be an advantage.
You will demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
A high level of energy, initiative and commitment is required to enable you to work in a fast moving and challenging environment.
You will be able to show evidence of your professional development through, courses, certification forums etc.
You have native or near native level of German as well as an extensive cultural awareness of Germany. If you have French this would also be an advantage.
