The Gaming Database Administrator is responsible for providing implementation assistance and ongoing support of our clients Gaming systems. The Gaming Database Administrator will maintain production infrastructure hosting our clients Gaming System software, including diagnosing and troubleshooting network related issues. In this role, you will be an integral contributor to a well-established 24x7-support team.

This is a highly support intensive position where the person will need to identify and collaborate with internal customers across the organization to deliver service solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in the casino and hospitality industry, will have expert field / technical expertise in several disciplines or Bally's product lines, and will participate in assigned projects: plan and test all the server equipment, network systems and software related to support, maintenance, and upgrades of platforms.


- Perform system health tests.

- Monitor disk usage, ram usage, swap usage, CPU usage / load, key running processes, network bandwidth usage, temps, fans, and up time.

- Provide on-call and technical support that will include hardware builds and maintenance of Bally's Systems and Systems software applications installed.

- Diagnose, troubleshoot and report issue/problems to identify and implement resolution in production.

- Lead the troubleshooting and testing of network servers and related software for gaming systems applications, communications controllers and peripheral devices in both test lab and casino gaming environment.

- Individual must be able to provide detailed troubleshooting instructions to support personnel to maintain the server equipment and the communications network.

- Provide input in the development or modification of currently established processes and procedures to drive efficiency.

- Sustain and maintain systems and applications related to Bally's gaming systems and software applications.

- Ensure logging and timely retrieval of logs when needed for troubleshooting.

- Lead projects, mentor and review the work of less experienced MIS staff.

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Education and Experience:

- Three (3)+ year direct experience working as Database Administrator.

- In-depth knowledge of Bally's servers, networking, and interfaces.

- Experience with VMWare Virtualization for Servers.

- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems.

- Experience with writing and modifying Batch / VBscript / Powershell.

Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MS SQL Server.

- Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.

- Good communication and documentation skills. Self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.

- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

- Good written and oral communication skills.
