Job Description

The Capital Markets &Investment Banking Technology mission is to deliver best in class technology products and services in support of our business partners and their customers objectives of expansion, revenue growth, stability and security. Our group is responsible for the FX Customer Manager and Reporting application and SOR.

Core Skill:

IT requirements gathering and development of Functional System Design; Data Analytics; Use Case Analysis; Deep understanding of web UI, server side and backend technologies for effective and efficient environment management and release management functions.

  • Growth Opportunities: Expand your FX-International business domain experience and improve the depth and breadth of your experience in web technologies
  • Analysis and Review: Ability to interact with the business to help review and analyze the requirements, collaborate with them in Requirement Gathering Phase and Functional Design Phase. Work with Technology teams Development, Architecture, QA, Engineering, and App Supportto ensure clarification of all assumptions and to build and deliver the functional and technical design.
  • Functional System Design Author: As primary owner of the FSD document, partner with all the stakeholders such as Dev, Architecture, Engineering, App Support and QA to discuss and finalize the functional design and solutions to the Business Requirements mentioned in the signed off Business Requirement documents.
  • Environment and Code Deployments: Manage the Lower environments (Non- Production), including the creation of development release notes for code deployments, and managing issues raised by QA and testing teams during test cycles. Manage the Master SQL used for Production rollouts, as well as overseeing associated system configuration changes. This also includes creating change requests, JIRA tickets, etc.
  • Testing Support: Work with the development, business and QA teams during all testing cycles in the lower environments, supporting any requirements/functionality clarification, defect triage, assisting in logging or updating defects in an SDLC tool, or priority setting.
  • Implementation: Manage and coordinate Releases in every environment, which includes the creation of game plans, managing and executing tasks for code deploy, and the creation of all necessary supporting documentation.
  • Safety and Soundness Compliance: Manage and coordinate safety and soundness compliance activities timely and efficiently. This includes but is not limited to changes in asset management DB, security plans, BCP plans, release checklists, and ongoing status reports to the leadership team.
  • Production Support: Provide secondary support to Application Support Teams during production issues. Secondary analysis includes but is not limited to root cause analysis, preventative action documentation, debug log snippets, GUI screen shots, data analysis, and defect logging in an SDLC tool.
  • Process Maintenance: Conceptualize, propose, and document best practices implemented in the group ensuring smooth execution of projects and workflows. This includes managing access and content on Team SharePoint site, as well as providing support and training for team on new processes and procedures.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 7+ years of SQL experience
  • 5+ years of Java experience

  • Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
  • International or wholesale banking exposure; preferably within Wells Fargo
  • Application production support experience



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Oracle RDBMS demonstrated experience in Oracle 11g
  • 5+ years of experience in using code deployment tools such as Subversion, Anthill, Maven, git SCM, jFrog Artifactory, Jenkins Build, or IBM uDeploy.
  • 5+ years of experience in writing Functional System Design (FSD) or low level System Architecture Specification (SAS) documents
  • 5+ years of experience in managing environments with Linux, Java, JBoss, Oracle RDBMS, web services, NDM, Autosys, MQ from release management and technical analysis standpoint
  • Familiarity with SoapUI for web services simulation testing
  • Familiarity with supporting Oracle Coherence caches
  • Familiarity with batch processing with NDM and Autosys
  • Familiarity with supporting MQ-based systems
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams from the business and technology groups
  • Ability to lead and manage issues to resolution backed up by solid documentation
  • Financial systems background
