Fire Protection Engineer

Permanent position: Immediate opportunity for a Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer with an MEP Consulting Firm in Philadelphia, PA. The Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for designing and calculations for vent, sanitary, hot and cold water, and sprinkler systems for commercial buildings and industrial facilities. The Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer should also be experienced with medical gases, kitchen plumbing, and fire pumps for the sprinkler systems. Client is looking for candidates with 7+ years of experience but all levels of experienced are encouraged to apply. Associate's degree minimal but Bachelors degree is preferred. PE License is a bonus but not required. AutoCAD experience is required and Revit is a bonus.

Responsibilities for the Fire Protection Engineer

  • Design of plumbing and fire protection systems.
  • Performing all engineering calculations for plumbing, fire protection, and sprinkler systems.
  • Deliver project from concept through completion.

Requirements for the Fire Protection Engineer

  • 7+ years of experience designing Plumbing and Fire Protection systems.
  • Knowledge of sprinkler systems including fire pumps and clean agent systems.
  • Associate's degree minimal but Bachelors degree is preferred. PE License is a bonus but not required.
