Wells Fargo has a new opportunity for a highly experienced Financial Crimes Manager to act as the First Line of Defence KYC Manager based in London.

The primary function of the FLOD KYC Manager is to centrally co-ordinate the client onboarding and periodic review activities perform by business aligned KYC resources as well as those LOBs that have elected to utilise a shared service model, known as the KYC Advisory Pool.

The FLOD KYC Manager will work closely with all KYC analysts to:
  • Drive consistency of approach and high quality results across all lines of business, meeting the requirements of both Wholesale and WIM as well as local regulatory requirements
  • Track, monitor and report through a series of management information tools, progress and MI relating to client onboarding and periodic review activities to all stakeholders. Where appropriate, identify material trends for ongoing quality and cycle time improvements.
  • Overall leadership responsibility for the FLOD KYC team, including ensuring objective setting, performance review, talent management and all people processes and best practices are implemented. Provides coaching and feedback to business-aligned KYC analysts, ensuring best practices are adopted across all KYC teams operating within the FLOD.
  • Assume a central point of contact role for all escalations and issues management. Escalate to Money Laundering Reporting Offices (MLROs) and SLOD EMEA KYC Manager where appropriate.
  • Where necessary, seek approvals for policy exceptions and client onboarding/periodic review waivers whilst ensuring global and local regulatory requirements are met.

The FLOD KYC Manager will work closely with the SLOD KYC Manager to:
  • Obtain clarification on all local regulatory jurisdictional nuances whilst aligning these to Group Standards and Corporate Policies
  • Disseminate changes in regulatory or corporate guidance related to EMEA and Global KYC expectations
  • Implement any new or changes to CIP/CDD/EDD policies, standards and local procedures.

The FLOD KYC Manager is responsible for:
  • Overseeing the business-aligned and advisory pool KYC analysts activities ensuring quality assurance reviews of work are undertaken and feedback provided on areas for improvement are shared across all teams
  • Re-balance workloads to align with available capacity and volume shifts due to business as usual and strategic initiative activities
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators, identifying negative trends and implementing solutions, including all results within monthly management information decks
  • Liaise on a continuous basis with the SLOD KYC Manager on project initiatives that have a KYC nexus.
