We are looking to hire a Financial Analyst to develop and analyze company-wide financial forecasts under various assumption scenarios, including cash flow, profitability, break-even feasibility and other financial analyses. This role will be responsible for preparing detailed financial reports, comparing actuals versus budget and develops presentations for the National Board of Directors, CFO, the Deputy CFO and Finance Manager conveying key findings.

You Will

- Evaluates and updates strategic project budgets throughout the fiscal year and highlight significant over/under budget scenarios. Identifies areas where cost efficiencies can be realized through in-depth analysis and understanding of the business.

- Takes the lead role in providing financial support to the Finance and Procurement group in the tracking/reporting of capital expenditures, actual spending, budget information and trend analysis

- Develops and maintains tools/databases to track actual spending, budget information, analysis of variances trends and other data to provide insightful analysis leading to better decision making and continuous improvement of financial forecasting and business planning.

- Develops a detailed understanding of non-profit's strategic priorities, business models and financial objectives. Analyzes Communities' results and performance. Analyses include cash flow, profitability, return on investment and appropriate financial ratios. Provides reports summarizing and identifying trends in such areas as profit margins, expenses, pricing and other issues affecting the profitability and cost effectiveness of the business.

- Review the revenue budget for fund development and the approval of their funding proposals including budgets.

- Provides financial analyses and support to ad-hoc project teams. Participates on project teams as requested.

- Recommends to management changes and additions to organization policies and procedures related to financial reporting, forecasting and financial systems.

- Takes the lead in assessing financial budgeting and reporting systems by researching the availability of software packages and makes recommendations to management on data flow and control procedures of system input and reports. Generates new reports using enterprise-wide systems tools that help eliminate the use of multiple, manually input Excel spreadsheets.

You Need:

- 3-5 years progressive experience in budgeting, and financial analysis and reporting.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field and equivalent relevant experience. MBA preferred.

- Demonstrated understanding of the preparation, analysis and presentation of corporate and nonprofit financial statements. Experience in varied accounting processes and internal controls.

- Excellent computer skills: facility with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email/internet software. Working knowledge of the Abila software is desirable.

- Successful experience in working in a team-oriented environment producing financial reports that will then be the basis of PowerPoint slide presentations to internal and external. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of statistical concepts and creating analysis to answer questions on monthly financial trends that includes making assumptions that help answer questions on spending and savings.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interface with all levels of the organization.

- Demonstrated experience in translating financial and statistical reports into formats. easily understood by non-financial management in a manner that they can draw the necessary conclusions in order to make decisions.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
