Digital Health Organization Overview

Technology continues to transform every aspect of society, including healthcare. Lilly sees digital as an extension of our medicines, not just a marketing tactic. Hence, Lilly’s Digital Health team is committed to exploring how the next generation therapeutic ecosystems, connected solutions, and data analytics can transform the customer (patients, doctors and payers) experience, demonstrate value, and most meaningfully – improve patient outcomes.

This role will be responsible for aiding a project team focused on the design, development, verification and validation of patient facing mobile applications supporting connected devices. This begins with technical customer engagement for digital devices defining requirements and facilitating scope, includes assisting in the development of the solution under medical device regulatory guidance and extends through deployment.

This position combines the following roles from the IT Career Framework: Business Consultant and Program/Project Manager.

Key Objectives/Deliverables

  • Assist Lilly and non-Lilly technical delivery teams in the Agile delivery of medical device-grade, mobile applications
  • Facilitate overall project delivery of a Connected Care software component including understanding and addressing risk, privacy, cybersecurity and legal constraints on project delivery
  • Support the evaluation of proposed project ideas, software changes and future product releases through impact analysis including requirements management, technical analysis, resource needs and development timelines
  • Collaborate with system owners, product owners and component execution leads to ensure component alignment with the system
  • Build effective relationships with partners to resolve key business needs and influence technology solutions specifically related to connected care systems.
  • Support the business strategy and roadmap for the connected care platform
  • Obtain and leverage knowledge of medical device delivery models and quality system to ensure solutions align with regulatory expectations and meet regulatory timelines
  • Obtain and leverage knowledge of connected care systems business processes and technology to ensure solution deliveries are consistent with the strategy and roadmap
  • Collaborate with design and human factors leads to support UI design and human factors testing activities
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated experience with software development life cycle spanning the entire lifecycle from project initiation to deployment and support
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
  • Demonstrated experience in software or IT projects
  • Knowledge of Agile software development
  • Knowledge of regulated software development environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence peers
  • Demonstrated initiative to build relationships, learn new business processes and find opportunities
  • Existing experience or willing to train up on the Atlassian Toolset (JIRA & Confluence)
