The EIT team helps customers directly every time they do business with the company, delivering a true One Wells Fargo experience and ensuring their security, regardless of channel. EIT also helps customers by remaining trusted partners working with all lines of business to develop and deliver value-added products and services. To do this, EIT draws on the talents and motivation of thousands of technology team members across the enterprise. Altogether, EIT manages world-wide technology for more than 8,700 stores and 12,500 ATMs larger than Starbucks and The Gap combined.

Enterprise Technology Remediation (ETR)

As part of Wells Fargos continuing efforts to apply a One Wells Fargo approach to enhancing our risk management and address regulatory commitments, the companys critical technology risk regulatory initiatives will be centrally managed by the Enterprise Technology Remediation team. ETR is a newly formed leadership function responsible for driving near-term risk reduction and long-term sustainability by significantly accelerating critical technology, cyber and regulatory remediation efforts. The team will be comprised of three main areas:

  • Remediation Program responsible for overall program design and governance, performance tracking and reporting, program communications, executive/regulator updates, and financial management
  • Remediation Initiatives deliver all near-term and long-term remediation commitments through quantifiable, risk based solutions and implementation of mitigating controls
  • ETR Command Center drive common solutions and execution efficiencies across initiatives, centralized prioritization and issue management, and program integration with broader technology capabilities

ETR will partner with the accountable initiative leaders and teams across EIT, EIS and enterprise partners (SLoD, Audit, Corp Staff and LOBs) to ensure our enterprise remediation efforts are collaborative, coordinated, and align to our One Wells Fargo principles.

ETR Operational Initiatives Manager 2 Solutions Design

The ETR Command Center is the core team within ETR that will drive common solutions to cross-program needs and opportunities. They will proactively assess the progress of the overall program for execution efficiency and eliminate or resolve challenges to be able to deliver on expected goals with the least amount of rework and organizational disruption. The dual focus on near-term remediation and long-term sustainability will include the centralized management of Remediation Initiative dependencies and tight collaboration across EIT and the enterprise to proactively identify opportunities to leverage other critical work efforts and enablers. The CC will also serve as the control point for ETR Remediation Initiative prioritization and integration with THR to proactively and reactively resolve prioritization challenges using personal expertise and collaboration across all levels of leadership.

The Solutions Design leader will play a critical role on the ETR Command Center team. He/she will partner with ETR team members and Remediation Initiative Leader(s) to drive common solutions to cross-program needs and opportunities. He/she will provide thought leadership and expertise to proactively identify or prevent conflicts, evaluate the information and provide advisement to optimize the work with a focus on near-term deliverable timelines and long-term sustainability. He/she will coordinate with expertise across Wells Fargo, as well as vendor or industry expertise, as needed to quickly and effectively work through impacts and challenges. He/she will leverage other members of the Command Center or the ETR team to expediently organize and facilitate for quick resolution.

Position Responsibilities:

The Solutions Design leader will report directly to the ETR Command Center Leader and be responsible for delivering results through ETR and initiative team members, matrix management or contractor/vendor management, as applicable. They must work well with ambiguity in a rapid-paced environment. Superior relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization is a requirement.

  • Play a key role in identifying and driving common solutions to cross-program needs and opportunities
  • Facilitate the execution of the overall strategy for ETR related conflicts within the program priorities, either proactively identified or reported by areas within the program
  • Coordinate and execute meetings/work sessions to quickly resolve conflicts across the ETR program for clear prioritization across the work with a focus on expected outcomes and timelines
  • Establish strong relationships with Initiative leaders, ETR team, and internal and external partners to establish enterprise objectives and gain organizational alignment


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
  • 8+ years of management experience in a planning environment
  • 8 + years of technology management experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical leadership including large, visible, cross group projects across multiple technologies
  • Experience with large-scale process transformation initiatives
  • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Experience developing and implementing project level processes, procedures and performance metrics
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
  • Ability to influence executive decision-making and successfully negotiate critical issue resolution related to program initiatives
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and exhibit agility in navigating from current state to proposed solutions
  • Broad knowledge of the IT function and how IT enables the business through effective strategic planning, governance and management discipline
  • Strong engagement management and delivery skills (i.e. ability to scope/size a project, staff a team with the appropriate skill set, provide subject matter direction and guidance to a team, manage the delivery of an engagement work stream)
  • Experience with technology strategy and technology architectural planning
  • Proven ability to solve critical unstructured technology processes and problems
