Job Summary:

The Senior Application Analyst will become a member of the Finance Billing and Cash Solutions team. This agile focused team is responsible for application development relating to project delivery, enhancements, and ongoing support of Client Non-retail Billing, Treasury, Cash Management, Risk, and Tax product lines.

These include both custom developed and vendor integrated applications that are considered critical to Client Finance systems. This progressive durable team has great company visibility and is focused on achieving our IT goal to be 100% Agile with combined delivery and support by 2020 through the use of Scrum and other agile techniques.

The Senior Application Analyst is responsible for:

- Ensuring quality, cost-effective development and implementation of applications and processing with adequate safeguards for both security and data integrity

- Understanding and interpreting business and technical requirements in order to perform assessment of current software capabilities to determine any gaps that exist

- Becoming an IT SME for the applications being developed. This includes providing technical oversight and necessary approvals for all design, build, test, and deployment activities for the given application

- Building expertise, performing design, and potentially application development activities, to support the project and gain essential knowledge of the applications being supported

- Identifying and managing interdependencies with other IT efforts; communicating issues, risks, and status to leadership and team in a timely manner

- Assisting project managers and scrum masters with developing work plans and estimates for completion

- Demonstrating forward thinking by identifying and mitigating risks, interdependencies and removing barriers for the team

- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities, specifically that reduce risk, improve quality, reduce costs

- Responsibilities apply to all disciplines of application development including, but not limited to: web, client/server, mainframe applications, ETL, and configuration and integration of vendor packages

Desired Qualifications: - Experience with Agile delivery frameworks

- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases

- Experience with application integration and ETL concepts

- Proven Financial application development/support background

- Willing to participate in an on-call rotation with other team members

- Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of systems and applications programming

- Experience with IT tools such as Informatica, Visual Studio, MS SQL Studio, and/or Toad for Oracle

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of related business experience.

Work experience in addition to degree: 5-10 years as an IT Application Analyst or equivalent.

Job-specific knowledge, skills or abilities: Seven years coding/programming, trouble-shooting, problem-solving, logical design, SQL coding, Business Requirements analysis, vendor management, root cause analysis, Enterprise Standards and Process Adherence.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous management experience. Previous technical lead experience. Demonstrated success in leadership of others. Demonstrated success in leadership of a portfolio of applications.

Expert technical issue-resolution ability. Experience with schema/database design.
