Data Management and Insights (DMI), which is responsible for the data strategy and capabilities at Wells Fargo, focuses on leveraging data as a strategic asset and is a growing organization. Data is critical to Wells Fargos continued success, deepening relationships with our customers, creating a seamless and convenient multi-channel experience, and meeting our commitment to satisfy our customers financial needs. DMI defines how we use information across the company, align our business practices and support our continued focus on great customer experience.

This newly created role will report into the Lending (both Wholesale and Retail), Deposits and Payments Data Issues Remediation (LDP) team, within the Enterprise Data Remediation (EDR) organization. EDR organization is tasked with managing a centralized function that provides a scalable, sustainable and transparent model for data issue management and remediation. With an initial focus on core risk and regulatory data issues that require remediation at the Commercial, Consumer and Customer Data systems/applications/processes, the team will engage across the enterprise to ensure a consistent approach that aligns to the enterprise strategic objectives and complies with enterprise policies.
As a member of the LDP team, this role will partner across EDR and with line of business partners to assess, provide oversight and/or remediate data issues across the Enterprise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead high priority data issue remediation efforts for risk and regulatory reporting requirements, business data needs and business processes that impact the Enterprise. Lead the in depth analysis and sizing of high priority data issues, understanding the impact based on the nature of issue i.e. Risk and Regulatory reports impacts, Customer impact, Other Data availability and/or quality gaps. Drive the design of near term solutions where appropriate. Solutions may require solving for a combination of policy and process gaps, designing new tools / systems or enhancing existing tools / systems, enhancing or correcting reporting logic, modifying data feeds, and / or correcting or enhancing data controls. While ensuring that near term and long term solutions satisfy both the needs and requirements of the Regulators, and the data needs and strategy of Wells Fargo. Drive the development of prototypes or proof-of-concepts as appropriate. Collaborate with stakeholders (including but not limited to technology partners) to define requirements and drive the implementation of solutions that resolve data issues, meet business needs, and satisfy regulatory requirements (where applicable). Provide data analysis support to audit and regulatory agencies, as necessary.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting4+ years of consultative business analysis experience4+ years of experience communicating system vulnerabilities and remediation guidance to both technical and non-technical personnel3+ years of SQL experience

Other Desired Qualifications 3+ years of lending experience (commercial or retail) 5+ years of experience in one (or a combination) of disciplines relevant to the following data domain(s): Onboarding / underwriting / booking processes or Portfolio analysis or Risk mgmt./analysis/reporting (and related financial regulations knowledge) or Data Governance and Controls experience in one of the following Data Domains:o Commercial Lending Preferred

o Credit Risk - Preferred
o Deposits, payments, Treasury Management Deposit or Credit Bureau Furnishing experience
o Master and Reference Data (customer data) Hogan CIS, WCIS etc. data knowledge

Demonstrated ability to build partnering relationships across the company at all levels (persuasive, good listener and assimilator of ideas and perspectives) Successful written and verbal communication skills. This includes the ability to synthesize data to present information to management Track record of successfully managing deliverables, expert knowledge of data management and remediation concepts and practices Demonstrated success in collaborating with business units to implement processes/procedures Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; ability to deal with ambiguity and drive results often based on limited information

Knowledge and understanding of risk and regulatory reports or requirements
Experience driving design and process data solutions or enhancing data controls
2+ years of experience programming in SAS, preferably including SAS to Teradata (or other database technologies) interfaces.
