Enterprise Architect


  • Recommends and participates in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture (EA).
  • Advises and recommends enterprise architecture strategies, processes, and
  • methodologies.
  • Recommends and participates in the analysis, evaluation, and development of enterprise long-term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the EA objectives are consistent with the enterprise's long-term business objectives.
  • Constantly updates the technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and upcoming vendor products and solutions.
  • Participates in and manages Architecture Working Groups for the development and maintenance of the EA.6.
  • Collaborates with all relevant parties in order to review the objectives and constraints of each solution and determine conformance with the EA.
  • Recommends the most suitable technical architecture and defines the solution at a high level.
  • Recommends and participates in the development of architecture blueprints for related systems.
  • Identifies and recommends areas appropriate for further study and participates in any Proof of Concept projects required to thoroughly investigate architectural possibilities and strengthen arguments for their adoption.
  • Identifies implementation risks and analyses potential impact on the enterprise and on the achievement of scheduled objectives.
  • Recommends and participates in the design and implementation of standards, tools, and methodologies.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; educational concentration in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, System Analysis, or a related field is preferred. Master's degree is preferred.
  • TOGAF Certification is preferred.
  • Other professional certifications preferred: ITIL, MSCE, CISSP, PMP.


  • 8+ years of experience in IT, architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.
  • 3+ years of experience in an Enterprise Architect role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of architecture frameworks, especially TOGAF.
  • Knowledge of architecture modeling languages, tools and techniques, including ArchiMate,
  • UML, BPMN.
  • Experience creating models using ArchiMate
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
  • Technology (Infrastructure) Architects develop future technology and architectural advancements to support architectural strategy, technology migration, integration, and evolution of the technical infrastructure.
  • Focus on the development of infrastructure technology principles, standards, and patterns that can be highly leveraged across multiple solutions.

Advanced to Expert knowledge of the following technical areas:

  • Security
  • Systems & Network Management
  • User Interfaces
  • Directory Services (e.g., LDAP, AD)
  • Data Interchange (EDI)
  • Data Management
  • Operating System Services
  • Network Services
  • Communications Infrastructure
  • Cloud/Utility Computing (esp. Azure and/or AWS)
  • Office 365
  • Service Oriented Architecture
  • Development Frameworks (e.g., .Net, Java)
  • Log Management
  • Performance and Event Monitoring
  • Mobility
  • IT Automation, Continuous Operations, and Service Delivery
  • One or more of these certifications desired: ITIL, MCSE, CISSP, RHCA/RHCE, CCNA or higher
