The Enterprise Architect is a highly seasoned, senior technologist with knowledge and skills that are both broad and deep. The Enterprise Architect meets regularly with executives and department heads to gain a deep understanding of business and technology challenges and provides technology direction and guidance that informs the business strategy. The Enterprise Architect works directly with business stakeholders and subject matter experts in developing a holistic view of the business strategy as it pertains to data, processes, and technology assets. The Enterprise Architect ensures Information Technology (IT) strategic solution alignment and uses a variety of architectural models and tools, including strategic roadmaps, to demonstrate how business strategies can be achieved.

The Enterprise Architect carries considerable influence and works across all business and IT functions to expose leading practices, exploit common processes, and rationalize technology assets with the ultimate goal of meeting business needs while ensuring a cost-effective and secure Information Technology environment. The Enterprise Architect works closely with Solution Architects, Technical Architects, and software teams to ensure alignment and implementation of secure, scalable, adaptable, and agile technology systems.

Non-Essential Job Functions

Scope/Financial Responsibility

This person will be expected to work diligently to meet initiative timelines and goals. Periodically, this person will be required to work overtime and/or provide periodic off-hours support. This person will be responsible for the timely submission and management of timesheets. This person may have input to the capital and/or operational budgets.

Travel Requirements

1-2 times domestic travel per year.

  1. Job experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience designing, developing and implementing multi-tiered solutions as a developer, tech lead or analyst (discipline may vary)
  • Experience with establishing enterprise architecture practices in the organization (e.g. understanding business strategy, building and maintaining roadmaps, reference architectures etc)
  • Experience serving as a project architect or lead architect on at least 2 large scale, enterprise wide projects

  1. Technology Requirements:

Depth and Breadth of Experience across multiple technologies such as:

  • Java/J2EE, MEAN or other full stack JavaScript frameworks
  • Salesforce Development - Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, REST, SOAP & Streaming APIs
  • Oracle, MongoDB, SQL, IMS, DB2
  • HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Informatica ETL
  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, PCF, Google Cloud, Force.com, Heroku

  1. Preferred Skills / Experience:

  • Experience in developing applications for Hospitality Industry preferred.
  • Experience in consulting/contracting as an Enterprise Architect
  • Experience in consulting/contracting as a Solutions Architect
  • Experience in Agile program/project strategies and concepts
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms and architectures like AWS, Salesforce, PCF and other PaaS solutions
