Job Description:



  • This position serves to execute the various elements of Client's NPI process for the Product Support swim lane on engine electronics and power systems programs supported within Client.
  • These elements include the creation and validation of troubleshooting methods, serviceability audits, component and harness installation audits, supporting the creation of training materials, and engaging with the product development teams throughout the program to ensure that troubleshooting and repair activities are taken into account as hardware and software design decisions are made.
  • Good communications skills (verbal and written) and strong organizational skills are critical for this role.
  • The person in this role with be interacting with our ITDD development teams, our engine and industry group partners, and on occasion dealer and customer personnel.
  • Travel will be approximately 15% with some international travel potentially required.
  • This role does not require an engineering degree although that is helpful. Prior experience with Client's NPI process is required, and experience with Client product support activities is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Client diesel or gas engines, display systems, telematics systems, and related off-board monitoring and control systems is extremely helpful in this role.
  • The position is located in Mossville (Building AC) and is part of ITDD's Energy & Transportation Systems product support team.
  • Execution of NPI Product Support deliverables for 6-10 programs at any point in time.


Typical Day



  • A typical day is 8-9 hours on first shift in Mossville working with peers in the product program team, our own system development teams, and peers within the product support arena.


Education Requirements:



  • An engineering degree is very helpful but not required.
  • An IT or operations background or service technician experience is also beneficial in this role.


Technical Skills



  • 5+ years experience. DataLink and controls experience Power system (both on and off board) NPI experience
  • This position requires an individual who is comfortable working with complex control and data networks to evaluate and devise appropriate troubleshooting techniques for the dealer and customer user base.


Soft Skills



  • Strong organizational skills are essential as well due to the need to maintain progress on numerous concurrent programs.
