Your Role and Responsibilities
Employee Engagement Lead (IBM CIO) - Bangalore

As the IBM CIO Engagement Lead in Bangalore, you will plan and execute activities that make it clear to employees how much they are valued by the organization. You will execute activities locally while also participating in a global network of Engagement Leads to align on strategy and share best practices and ideas. Taking an inclusive approach, you will work to engage all types of employees with different backgrounds, experience levels, personalities, and cultures crafting activities and events that are appealing without pressure or judgment around participation. Considering feedback from various channels, you will look for opportunities to continuously refine and improve engagement approaches.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Considering engagement metrics and employee feedback specific to your site, work with leaders to generate ideas and plan activities that meet goals
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Engagement Program Manager and Engagement Leads at other sites to align on plans and drive initiatives forward
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to execute successful activities on time and within budget
  • Accurately track and report expenses
  • Take an organized and proactive approach, managing timelines and tasks and communicating with internal teams and vendors as needed
  • Monitor feedback and iteratively improve approaches; maintain an open mind and positive attitude around feedback
  • Embrace a diversity of personalities and approaches to work
  • Support organizational goals to attract and retain top, diverse talent and create a productive work environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and personalities and the ability to enroll others in ideas
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion for helping others to be engaged and perform at their best
  • Interests in organizational culture and employee engagement

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role or a related degree
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership and operations in prior roles or extra-curricular activities.
  • Exposure to related activities such as event planning and coordination, organizational psychology, employee engagement, or internal communications

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 1-3 years of experience executing engagement or internal communications activities
  • 1-3 years of organizing and running events and activities
  • Experience considering data and drawing reasonable and actionable conclusions
  • Track record of successfully managing multiple projects, timelines, and budgets
