Responsibilities:

In accordance with the Wells Fargo enterprise wide Regulatory Compliance Risk Management (RCRM) Program, the EMEA Compliance Testing Team (the Testing Team) sits within EMEA Central Compliance and assesses the controls relating to Regulatory risks.

Execution of EMEA Annual Compliance Plan
  • The Team Lead will take ownership of allocated Testing Reviews and will, in accordance with RCRM (Regulatory Compliance Risk Management) procedures:
  • Plan review work effectively (e.g. engagement with key stakeholders / relevant lines of business / control functions; review of past audit, operational risk and compliance reviews etc.);
  • Perform fieldwork within the relevant lines of business and test system and control effectiveness and design (in accordance with relevant Wells Fargo sampling methodologies);
  • Identify potential concerns and control issues, determine the root cause of issues and ensure stakeholders develop and implement appropriate corrective actions;
  • Raise appropriate recommendations for system and control enhancements and formally agree associated action plans (e.g. a change to systems, controls, governance structures, policies or procedures) with relevant senior management;
  • Formally document review activity and raise findings within Compliance Activity Reports and following a quality assurance process, submit these to senior management; and
  • Work with risk colleagues and lines of business to formally track issues to closure.
  • Work on reviews both in the capacity of lead reviewer as well as participant where necessary to ensure that the Annual Compliance Testing Plan is completed in a timely manner and to the highest standards.
  • Attend all relevant Global and EMEA conference calls, meetings and Committees in order to discuss RCRM, Testing and Compliance standards and issues raised.
  • Work collaboratively with Compliance colleagues throughout EMEA to make recommendations for change to Policies, Projects, Training and or Monitoring Plans as appropriate.
  • Assist with other Central Compliance activities as required by senior management from time to time.

    Reporting
  • The Team Lead will identify issues during testing activities, report issues requiring senior management attention within Compliance Activity Reports and track these via a Centralized Issue and Corrective Action Tracking (SHRP) system.
  • The Team Lead will assist with the creation of risk based Compliance Management Information for senior management throughout EMEA as directed (e.g. Central Compliance Monthly Reports, Compliance and Financial Crime Forums and Cross Functional and Emerging Risk Committees), and ensure that:
  • metrics are relevant and cover all aspects of compliance / non-compliance with Compliance thresholds;
  • dashboards are appropriately communicated to senior management; and exceptions / failures to meet threshold requirements are appropriately escalated and measures taken documented.
