Our client is looking for an Electronics Technician for a 6+ month project in Grass Valley, CA.


Provides tested product for shipment while troubleshooting and performing quality checks on assemblies.


1. Perform preliminary pre-burn-in test on incoming assemblies.

2. Perform post burn in test and alignment.

3. Troubleshoot and repair failed assemblies.

4. Perform final QC on tested and aligned assemblies.

5. Diagnose customer failures and support returned products and process.

6. Assist Tech Lead with high level technical issues and support lower level technicians with technical knowledge.

7. Assist Engineering debug by performing tests on prototype boards.

8. Accurately record and track material as required.

9. Prepare repair quotes for customer owned products.

10. Practice proper safety procedures.

Sitting/Standing/Walking: Approximately 90% of the time is spent seated working at a work

bench. Balance of time (approximately 10%) is spent standing or moving around work areas.

Moving: Ability to transport up to forty (40) lbs. of products or equipment.

Speaking/Hearing: Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers and outside

agencies, by telephone and in person.

Vision: Ability to visually inspect PC boards, read drawings and solder components.

Reaching/Handling: Good manual dexterity.


1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2. Good understanding of database and MS Office applications.

3. Ability to use standard electronics test equipment.

4. Ability to perform standard surface mount soldering for repairing failed assemblies.

5. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at

all organization levels; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

6. Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.

7. Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.

8. Possess a work ethic that includes neatness, punctuality, and accuracy.

9. Willingness to adhere to company policies and support management decision and goals in a

positive, professional manner.


1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. At least two (2) years post-secondary educations or equivalent experience.

3. At least five (5) years experience in the video industry.
