EDI Support Specialist Level I

Role Overview

Our Fortune 500 Client has an immediate need for a EDI Support Specialist Level I that will be responsible for maintaining the company's Customer Service standards for all clients and internal businesses stake holders. As the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Support Level I you be tasked with providing technical support services focused on communication with customers, addressing technical issues, training, and business process concerns.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all inbound and outbound EDI transactions such as 850. 860, 810, 856, 824, 832, 852, 940, and 945.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot EDI related problems.
  • Analyze and correct EDI errors, in addition to improving processes to increase productivity.
  • Support EDI/Logistics with related setup requirements.
  • General customer service representative high profile accounts.
  • Work directly with Operations department on order priorities.
  • Input, update and maintain new styles in the ERP system cross referencing to EDI, GXS catalog (open text) and Intertrade..
  • Allocate and generate pick tickets for both immediate and future
  • Advise on vendor compliance and routing procedures.
  • Responsible for reporting and escalations to lvl II.
  • Assists team members on various projects as needed.

The ideal candidate is responsible, pro-active, detail-oriented and hardworking, takes responsibility, and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be able to work well within a team environment, but is also a self-starter who can work independently.


  • 1-3 years of experience as EDI Support
  • 1-3 years of experience in an enterprise environment
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Pivot table reporting) required
  • Understanding of Open text / GXS (not required but a major plus)
  • Understanding of x12 standards (not required but a major plus)
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy with the ability to follow through
  • Customer/client facing problem resolution experience
  • Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated with a positive can-do attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Experience with SQL on any platform (a plus)
