Job Description:

Employees in this position are expected to provide business functional support for enterprise Transmission project controls related technology tools.

These applications include Ecosys, Primavera, and an in-house developed project costing tool. Employee will be required to interact with customers personally, via e-mail, or through the submission of issues via Remedy.

Employee should be familiar with application operations and to some degree project controls processes used by the customer. Employee will also be expected to interact with IT staff to report and assist with resolution of issues and problems. Employees at this level manage their work with minimal supervision.

Employees are expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects or issues. They are fully competent in the use of concepts and procedures.

They identify problems, work independently or with others to develop solutions and take action to resolve issues and are able to effectively communicate using oral or written skills.

Duties & responsibilities Duties would include the following:

- Work with and support other analysts to resolve project control applications problem tickets in Remedy

- Provide subject matter expertise in the use and configuration of Ecosys application

- Review current Client configuration of Ecosys and make recommendations for potential improvement opportunities

- Provide support for other requested technology project controls related applications as needed as requested Basic Qualifications

- Ability to understand and quickly pick up on the business processes used in the Transmission project controls area

- Ability to work with limited direction / able to take limited direction and work independently

- Strong working knowledge of the Ecosys application and a good working knowledge of Primavera application.

- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and utilize new technology/applications on a routine basis.

- Ability to multitask and to work effectively in a changing environment with numerous distractions and interruptions.

- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.

- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, customer relations skills.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Experience working in a team environment

- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

- Basic understanding of the Remedy applications or other ticket management software

- Prior experience in user functional support of technology applications is desired.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

In lieu of a degree, 15+ years of related business experience.

Work experience in addition to a degree: 10+ years as an IT Application Analyst or equivalent.

Job-specific knowledge, skills or abilities: Seven years coding/programming, trouble-shooting, problem-solving, logical design, SQL coding, Business Requirements analysis, vendor management, root cause analysis, Enterprise Standards and Process Adherence.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous management experience.

Previous technical lead experience.

Demonstrated success in leadership of others.

Demonstrated success in leadership of a portfolio of applications.

Expert technical issue-resolution ability.

Experience with schema/database design.
