Summary of Position:

The Director of Marketing for Concerto Cloud Services will be responsible for leadership and management of all functions within the Concerto Marketing Department as well as the overall strategy for select key partnerships. This position will require a strong focus on demand generation of partners and customers to support revenue growth. Oversight of the marketing function includes: designing and developing integrated marketing plans across all facets of acquisition and retention marketing including: website, social media, PR, communications, marketing automation, online and offline campaigns, sales materials, product releases, partner marketing and associated analytics. This role will include direct ownership of a small number of critical partners.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Leadership

·         Direct the people and programs responsible for generating market awareness and demand by overseeing the development, execution and measurement of all marketing activities (direct marketing campaigns, events, webinars, trade shows, sponsorships, advertising, SEO/SEM, company web site and landing pages, social media, branding, channel development and communications/public relations)

·         Drive focused lead generation efforts resulting in meeting high growth goals for new customers, sales to existing customers, new partner recruiting program and partner campaigns.

·         Position the company as a leader in the industry, through concise messaging and positioning, distilled across all areas of the organization and ensuring consistency throughout all company communications and materials

·         Develop nurture marketing and lead scoring programs via the implementation of a marketing automation system to improve marketing effectiveness

·         Oversee database strategy, including contact acquisition, data hygiene and data analysis

·         Develop and deliver analytics that report on marketing effectiveness, conversion rates, cost per lead and more

·         Constantly analyze and improve the quality of campaigns, acting on weak areas, optimizing strengths, measuring and controlling ROI based on actual costs and performance results, including assessing campaign effectiveness by source, offer type, and target segment

·         Drive Marketing ROI and acquisition metrics to optimize program performance and effectiveness

·         Interact with executive, channel sales, operations and corporate marketing teams to ensure consistency of message, direction and programs

·         Manage or help manage select strategic relationships with key technology providers.

Team Member Leadership

·         Build a strong culture of accountability and high performance

·         Recruit, develop, and retain top performers

·         Create and implement an effective onboarding plan for every team member, every time using the tools and resources provided by the People Team.

·         Recruit, train and develop a team with skills and experience aligned to meet Concerto’s needs and the market with a focus on retention of top performers

·         Set clear expectations for all Team Members. Analyze goals, activities and results to determine action plans to improve individual and team performance per stated performance management guidelines.

·         Insures that Concerto values are being demonstrated and policies are being followed.

Support Corporate Initiatives

·         Keep current on corporate goals, objectives, and progress

·         Engage in corporate sponsored activities and initiatives as appropriate

·         Lead with courage in support of change initiatives that impact organization

·         Manages and assists in coordinating efforts between departments within Concerto

·         Provide feedback and input

Maintain Technical and/or Industry knowledge

·         Keep current on technical, industry and competitor activities and offerings that align with specific practice


Minimum Requirements – Education, Skill & Abilities:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science and/or equivalent experience

·         Minimum 10 years related marketing experience, preferably in software marketing, cloud, IT or related technologies

·         Experience in creating and implementing lead generation strategies

·         Proven track record of leading marketing teams and managing marketing systems

·         Experience managing the creation and execution of effective direct marketing programs

·         Experience managing the creation of marketing programs and/or materials that promote technology solutions to end users and channel partners

·         Expertise in marketing and data quality best practices

·         Expert knowledge of sales process and marketing to sales hand-offs

·         Strong experience working with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics CRM,, Siebel, SAP or Oracle) and marketing automation systems

·         Excellent verbal, written, presentation and analytical skills

·         Ability to work with well under pressure and with tight deadlines in a high growth, fast-paced environment

·         Excellent relationship building skills

·         Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

·         Strong time management and organizational skills

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

·         Valid Driver’s License required

Preferred Requirements– Education, Skill & Abilities:

·         Master’s degree with a business or technology focus and/or equivalent experience
