Your Role and Responsibilities
Objective of the job:
The person in this role will support the Finance Analytics development team to develop, deploy and maintain analytics solutions for the IBM Tax and Transfer Pricing project. The individual will work closely together with the development team primarily as a Database Administrator to fulfill relevant DB related needs (e.g. access management; create, alter and backup tables; managing partitions/tablespaces/indexes) on the project and moreover will support the migration of data, ETL and business analytics codes across the different environments (development, test and production). Tasks will also include to work together with the Business Analysts on the project to validate test cases against business requirements.

  • Database Administration (e.g. access management; create, alter and backup tables; managing partitions/tablespaces/indexes);
  • Promote ETL, Database, and BI code across development, test and production environments;
  • Support collaboration between business and the technical team by validating test cases

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Multiple year experience as a Database Administrator (relational DB preferably DB2 for zOS);
  • Have a general understanding of ETL, Database and Business Analytics tools and processes;
  • Experience with SQL, DB2 and Cognos Analytics;
  • IT bachelor/university degree /knowledge;
  • Experience with Agile;
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel;
  • Strong communication skills in written and verbal English;
  • Teaming and collaboration;
  • Flexibility/adaptability to work with tight deadlines

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Experience with DB2 for zOS;
  • Experience with IBM DataStage;
  • Experience in programming (e.g. Python, Scala, HTML, Javascript);
