GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY


The primary objective of the Digital Solution Engineer (DSE) Consultant is to develop and implement solutions to deliver a better digitized experience for our constituents. Environment is changing rapidly to be able to provide more capabilities to the business. The DSE Consultant will work closely with other departments to deliver expertise in many tools that streamline our efficiency and effectiveness to get to quicker project completions leading to faster deployment of new capabilities.


Customer is embarking on renewed process improvement efforts that will increase our dependency on certain tools that either didn't exist in the past or that need enhancements to be implemented in new and more efficient ways. The DSE Consultant will be responsible for working with many tools and applications that will enable our future transformation.


The DSE Consultant will also have support responsibilities for these tools and applications. Our goal is to ensure that Customer has the right level of support on premise to be able to meet the needs of the organization. In addition, the tools and applications that the DSE Consultant support also need to be documented thoroughly, so that we build a knowledge base of information to avoid situations where an application is only understood by one person.


These tools and applications will be utilized to support everyday business transactions. They need to be available to the Application Development teams and and business team. Therefore, the DSE Consultant will need to ensure that the selection, preparation, installation, deployment and operation of these tools and applications meet the customer's standards for availability. They need to be maintained so that we do not run the risk of falling versions behind, since we will be depending on these tools and applications to be always available and ready for more implementations.


Some applications do not require constant support, and subsequently, have fallen on a single employee or outside consultant for support when it is needed. This often leads to delays or emergencies when the application does not perform as expected. The DSE team will support these applications as needed and will devise a plan to provide long-term support for these applications.


The successful candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of operation's quality through the design and development and automation of new processes, in conjunction with the Process Excellence and Application Development teams. Other responsibilities, as designated in support of organizational priorities, may be assigned.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop and support process automation tools within the organization.
  • Develop companywide solutions to automate and streamline processes, i.e. Liquid Office and Infor Process Automation.
  • Develop and support the Document Management System, iManage.
  • Create system documentation that will be utilized to support the tools and applications that are supported.
  • Participate in periodic meetings with the management team to plan, review and monitor operations.
  • Assure projects are deployable upon completion and meet the Operational Readiness criteria.
  • Maintain effective communication with management regarding developments within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
  • Be self-directed and show ability to manage and prioritize their own work.
  • Provide technical mentorship to others.


Required Qualifications



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to grow and expand professional technical expertise.
  • Ability to learn new applications quickly.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor.
  • Ability to work effectively on a project team.
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript, .Net, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, with 10+ years' experience
  • Extensive knowledge and utilization of SQL Server Reporting and Integration Services (SSRS and SSIS) tools.
  • Extensive experience working with internal and external API's, to get the most efficiency out of our processes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes , with 5+ years' experience.
  • Ability to work with Business Analysts (BA) and the Business to document and implement the processes that will meet the Business's needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, with appropriate prioritization given to each project.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting experience with applications and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in order to get systems functioning.
  • Comfortable in dealing with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management processes and project execution best practices.
  • Expectation to support critical systems as required.
  • Excellent proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint products.
  • Work Experience using Liquid Office or other process automation tools preferred.
  • Work Experience using Document Management Systems preferred.


Education (R-Required, P-Preferred)



  • R - 10+ years' experience with software development and design, and application and tool support and documentation;



  • R - Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems or related technical field or 10+ years' related experience
