Key Responsibilities:


-Create software images for client workstations - responsible for creating functional disk images, determining the contents and structure of the hard drive or other data storage device.


Troubleshoot flaws causing software to malfunction by using this default image. This includes maintaining the current image as well as road mapping the future image. Ability to maintain a dev/prod environment.


-Maintain and enhance software update schedule - responsible for using patch management and software distribution tools to ensure software updates are implemented network-wide in a timely manner.


-Ensure client workstation security is up to date - ensure endpoint devices are security compliant across all avenues, including encryption, patching virus and malware threats.


-Application packaging and management - create application packages based on requirements, thorough testing in a dev/prod environment. Make adjustments as necessary to enhance the delivery, functionality, feature, or to ensure seamless integration with the platform it will be hosted in. Create supporting documentation.


-Desktop Engineer will act as escalation for the Service Desk - Ensure process and procedures are documented and understood.


Educational Requirements



  • 4-year Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related degree


Required Work Experience



  • Minimum 5 years Technical Desktop Support experience, experience with creating images, application packaging

Must possess strengths in the following:


-Excellent communication skills are a must (face-to-face, written, and telephone)

-Committed to excellent user service with excellent follow-through


-Software/Hardware installation, configuration, packaging and patching (LANDesk, Sysprep)


-Able to work flexible hours as needed


-Able to follow direction, work with the team, and work independently


-Good organizational skills, able to handle projects and prioritize tasks as they present themselves


-Familiarity troubleshooting Microsoft Office 2013/2016/365 (MOUS certification a plus)


-Network/OS (Windows 2008/2012 Server) and Hardware troubleshooting


-Experience with Windows 10 OS


-Remote Access troubleshooting


-Experience with Lenovo ThinkPad laptops


-MS Outlook/Exchange installation, configuration, troubleshooting
