job summary:

This position secures, updates, patches, and supports all desktop and laptop systems joined to the corporate network.

This role is responsible for Workstation Security the success of patches & updates which requires extension PowerShel scripting & extensive Windows trouble-shooting.

  • Implement and maintain workstation security configurations and configuration standards
  • Evaluate, deploy, and remediate vendor security patches on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Evaluate, deploy, and remediate new applications and upgrades to existing software
  • Build and maintain configurations within Microsoft's System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Provide third-tier support for end user issues
  • Work with support teams in other departments to address production and system issues
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of department activities and processes
  • Individually participate in identifying, measuring, monitoring, controlling and mitigating departmental and enterprise-wide risks
  • Maintain awareness of and adhere to compliance requirements, risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Intermediate knowledge of supporting Windows Operating Systems
  • Intermediate knowledge of supporting the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory best practices
  • Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory Group Policy
  • Basic experience with deployment of software through an enterprise management tool including the repackaging of software installers and drivers
  • Basic knowledge of PowerShell
  • Basic knowledge of Transact-SQL query language

  • Associates degree in Information Technology, or equivalent job experience, preferred
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in supporting Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience in customer service, hardware support, and software support
