Permanent position: Large Engineering consulting firm is looking for a Geotechnical Manager for their Dallas office. Relocation assistance is provided. Candidates must have Civil Engineering degree and managerial experience.

Responsibilities for the Department Manager

  • Supervise or monitor all projects in progress in the department
  • Supervise the daily operations of a department including staff training, development, and performance review, utilization of equipment and facilities, safety oversight, quality of services and work product, timely delivery of services and deliverables, and adherence to policies and procedure
  • Prepares and participates in client and proposal related presentations and prepares and oversees the preparation of complex proposals and cost estimates
  • Directs the short-range business development activities of all department personnel and oversee and manage the success of the key department metrics of revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing and collections, and project profitability

    Requirements for the Department Manager

    • Must have Civil Engineering degree with Masters degree in Geotechical Engineering preferred
    • Must have at least 10 years of experience with previous supervisory experience required
    • Must have valid driver's license
    • PE highly preferred
