This is a great opportunity to join the Digital Channel Technology, Database Development and Integration team supporting Wells Fargo Digital Channel Retail applications. We are in constant pursue of best practices, scalability, high performance and availability for our platforms. We are a dynamic and diversified group of database engineers who share same goals and passion.

We help make our Line of Business online sales strategies a reality by building and integrating the development code throughout the SDLC cycle.
As database subject-matter-expert to lead the design planning, impact analysis, development design, implementation and maintenance of the organization's application databases. Consults with and advises senior management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction.
Handles and leads various large-scale or highly complex data/database management activities including one or more of the following: designing highly complex logical and/or physical database data model; large volume data transformation and migration; capacity planning; developing database design policies, procedures and standards; and business requirements identification, analysis and development. Provides mentoring, guidance and general oversight to lesser experienced staff in a variety of database design, performance tuning and/or modeling activities.
Candidate will be required to :

Develop Oracle PL/SQL coding, SQL reporting and unix scripting Develop detailed data models and entity relationship diagrams. Perform database monitoring and SQL tuning Perform Test-Driven Development (TDD) coding in Agile methodology Strategize selection of technology and migration from RDBMS to NoSQL and Graph databases. Design, test, implement, maintain and control the organization's physical and relational across multiple platforms and computing environments. Participate in the development of data architectures, database management policies and standards for current and future applications. Provide in-depth consulting services in the identification and resolution of data and database issues in a timely and professional manner. Participate in the planning, design and usage of data resources. Design archival and purging strategy with partitioned tables. Will consider highly qualified candidates in other Well Fargo footprints

Required Qualifications

10+ years of database design and administration experience10 + years of experience writing relational database queries for stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning7+ years of Data Guard experience3+ years of experience with Oracle database performance monitoring, database and SQL tuning tools such as Explain plan, AWR, or Grid control3+ years of Golden Gate experience

Desired Qualifications

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills10+ years of PL/SQL experience5+ years of JIRA experienceStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Other Desired Qualifications 5+ years of experience with large databases ( at least 1-4TB) Demonstrated experience in designing for high volume OLTP applications Proven experience in NoSQL and Graph databases such as Mongodb and Neo4j Proven experience with Big Data technology eg Hadoop and Kafka a plus Demonstrated experience in performance monitoring & tuning using SQLT or equivalent Proven experience in designing and maintenance of large partitioned tables Demonstrated development experience in Oracle Golden Gate, Data Guard and RAC environment Demonstrated experience in production troubleshooting and resolution of poorly tuned SQL. Proven experience in production troubleshooting and analysis skills using AWR Proven experience in large scale data extraction, transformation and loading Experience in SQL packages, trigger and stored procedures Demonstrated experience with UNIX and Shell ScriptingDisclaimer
