The Data Services and Operations Management group within Wealth and Investment Management / Enterprise Information Technology group is seeking a Database Analyst 4 Data Modeler. As a Data Modeler you will be responsible for understanding and analyzing complex business & data requirements. They will prepare detailed design specifications that drive the design of the end to end solution within the data environment. The person will support the business needs of the Wells Investment Management LOB by designing and implementing solutions that enable their business drivers. The role will be responsible for the data analysis and data model for the two core data environments - Brokerage Data Warehouse (BDW) and Operational Data Store (ODS). This includes having a broad understanding of the upstream and downstream systems and processes, including impact and gap analysis of current databases and reporting systems. It will design data solutions that enable the delivery teams to successfully meet the business requirements.
Responsibilities include:

Oversee the designing of highly complex conceptual, logical and physical data models. Highly complex or critical data modeling, mapping, and integration efforts. Working with business contacts, data analysts and other subject matter experts to identify understand and document business needs for data. Work closely with the Wealth & Investment Management Technology (WIMT) architecture community to provide strategic solutions, influencing long-range internal and enterprise-level data architecture and data management strategies. Serve as subject matter expert and steward for the architecture and content for assigned projects, systems and data subject areas. Develop and create data modeling patterns that support enterprise and WIMT data strategy and data architecture vision. Provide data consulting services to application teams utilizing the ODS and BDW. Review data modeling artifacts of other team members to ensure compliance with standards, policies and procedures and data management best practices promoting proper data sharing, consistency and reuse. Provide expert-level consulting services in the identification and resolution of highly complex data design issues.Required Qualifications

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsA BS/BA degree or higherGood analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyKnowledge and understanding of data modeling tools, such as Power DesignerKnowledge and understanding of relational database concepts, querying, data warehousing, ETL process, requirements gathering and/or decision support toolsExperience advising senior management on changes in laws and regulationsEngineering and architecture experience with big dataAbility to manage complex data collection and analysis activities including conducting extensive source-to-target mapping exercises

Other Desired Qualifications Familiarity with Informatica (or equivalent ETL such as Ab-Initio or DataStage) Familiarity with DB2 or Teradata Understanding of data quality assurance processes and procedures Experience in Financial Services (brokerage knowledge preferable)Street Address
