Job Description

The Retail Mortgage Data Management Team within the Enterprise Data and Architecture group is seeking a talented Database Analysts to help support data and reporting for Home Mortgage Originations system. The role works closely with business analysts and key business partners to understand, and translate, business requirements into innovative technical solutions. This may involve analyzing source data, assisting in defining business requirements, or business rules, data modeling, development of database objects, integration of data from different sources, ETL changes within Integration Services, report development, and/or cube changes within Analysis Services.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Typical tasks for this position include:

Development, or alteration, of database objects and ETL processes

Data analysis and development across multiple database platforms, including Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle and DB2

Participation in code reviews and code promotion

Participation in on-call support rotation

Identification and implementation of process improvements that result in meeting, or exceeding, service level agreements in place with supported business partners

Promoting best practices and strict change control standards

Creation, or alteration, of Reporting Services reports

Development, or alteration, of Analysis Services objects

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:

Handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Research data issues for root cause and recommend appropriate solutions

Interact with non-technical team members

Be a self-starter with the ability to adopt new concepts and skills quickly

Exemplify strong communication skills

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of database design and administration experience
  • 1+ year of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experience
  • 1+ year of relational database experience
  • 1+ year of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) programming experience
  • 1+ year of data analysis experience
  • 1+ year of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
  • Knowledge and understanding of Teradata
  • Knowledge and understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Proven experience to design relational and Dimensional databases, tables, views and stored procedures
  • Working experience to performance tune SQL queries
  • Working knowledge of SSAS
