We're looking for a looking for a long-term resource; either contractor OR permanent employee for a Data Scientist to join our Direct-to-Consumer Marketing team. This is a role that will help create the future of scientific data-practices in this group and will ultimately be a highly autonomous and extremely important addition to our team.

MARKETING DATA SCIENTIST

We are looking to expand our existing Data Science team, currently based in Cincinnati, into our Boston Market. We're looking to hire someone with demonstrated experience in applying techniques to deliver actionable insights from data.

As a Marketing Data Scientist you will:

- Bring strong technical expertise along side strong business acumen and be the "Data Science Sherpa" for senior-leadership as we build an additional data-practice in Boston, MA.

- Rapidly build prototypes from ideas to prove them out--own the ideation process, seeking to educate and promote sound decision-making using your own creative ideas and insights.

- "Get into the details" using machine learning algorithms, data visualization best practices, and analytic engines to release business building insights and build proprietary algorithms on our data, combining with business and marketing knowledge.

- Design and implement analytical frameworks in the context of overall performance marketing objectives such as media effectiveness, RnF / conversion rate optimization, consumer engagement, content optimization, etc.

- Deliver high performance data science, including data sources identification, processing, model/algorithm development, and turning insights into actionable recommendation and systems.

- Adept at demonstrating analytic technologies solving ad hoc business problems, innovating on potential future solutions, and working with technology partners to translate your innovations into robust, scaled, analytic solutions.

- Work actively and effectively with other functions partners and senior management to accomplish project objectives.

- Participate in and lead analytic capability building programs at various levels of skill and seniority.

Job Requirements: To qualify for this role you will be adept with the following:

- 5-7 years' work experience overall and are eager to do things differently, we're looking for new ways to do things in our environment...avoid the status quo.

- 3- 5 years' of shown leadership in applying and scaling analytic techniques to deliver actionable insights from data.

- NICE TO HAVE: 3-5 years' experience in Direct to Consumer marketing including experience with media (online/offline/paid/owned/earned) and CRM. Practical experience with Linear TV planning, Programmatic buying, and CRM Orchestration.

- Master Degree (or higher) in a quantitative field (Operation Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Statistics, Analytics, etc.) or equivalent work experience

- Experience in disrupting current business practices in CPG or related industries to help crafting a new go-to-market models.

- Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, dynamic and can-do attitude.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence others to take action

- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities.

- Related full-time or internship experience with syndicated point of sale, ("scanner") household panel data, or Operations Research modeling is helpful but not required

Technologies you'll have expertise in:

- SQL, Scala, Tableau, Python.

- Various Machine Learning Techniques.

- BI Tools such as KNIME, Tableau, or Spotfire.

- Artificial Intelligence / Big Data Ecosystem experience (Hadoop, Spark, TensorFlow, Hive, etc.).

-Practical experience with Linear TV planning, Programmatic buying, & CRM orchestration.

- Scientific Computing: R, Python, C++, Java, Scala.

- Advanced Analytical models (Bayesian, Optimization (global, local, stochastic methods), Uncertainty Quantification, etc.)
