The Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) IT for IT team is responsible for providing technology for our own Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) team. Thus enabling EIT to run as a data-driven business considering regulatory requirements for consistency and control of IT environments, strategic planning, and portfolio management of IT products and services.

The IT for IT Data Services team is responsible for driving both near-term data to satisfy regulatory requirements while strategically creating the EIT Domain Authorized Provisioning Point (APP) as part of the enterprise Data Blueprint architecture.

The Operational Data Management team within IT for IT Data Services is charged with delivering critical data services via our existing portfolio of applications as well as planning and executing the convergence of the existing solutions with the EIT APP.

Existing applications include IT Asset Management Operational Data Store (ITAM ODS), Infrastructure Relationship Data Mapping (IRDM), Technology Operational Data Services Hub (TODSH), IT Asset Management DataMart (ITADM), TAM Asset Management (EUCAM), Asset Management Network Data Mover (AMNDM), Qualys Vulnerability Remediation (QVR) and Server Add Form (SAF).

We also support the following; Network Data Explorer (NDEX) to Remedy Reconciliation, Configuration Management Program (CMP) Datamart, Entire Known Universe (EKU) Database Hosting, Technology Metrics & Reporting (TMR) Database Hosting among others.

This Sr Data & Application Development Manager will manage a team of technology professionals responsible for analysis, development and maintenance of several of the above mentioned applications. The candidate will also assume System Manager Accountability for select applications, having responsibility for all aspects of the application including, but not limited to security plans, business continuity (bcp), sdlc adherence, annual audit and other standard certifications.

This leader will establish a rapport with key stakeholders, technology partners and Governance to deliver data store enhancements while also driving efficiencies across these applications through the adoption of common processes and tools. They will also reinforce a culture of accountability in which emerging risks and issues are proactively identified, raised, and remediated as per established sustainability protocols.

This team will partner closely with internal groups for overall strategy planning, requirements for end user solutions, data analysis and reporting as well as other areas required for day to day production and technical support related functions

This leader will build a highly engaged team responsible for delivering complex data solutions and will be directly accountable for technical requirements, development, quality assurance, service delivery and on-going maintenance activities. This would typically include key functions for the owned applications and data management product(s) but not limited to:

  • Application/software engineering
  • Database development, data integration, modeling, profiling and architecture
  • Participate with application validation testing, and peer review
  • Performance Optimization Enhancements
  • Proactive and Reactive Data Quality Strategies, goals and measures.
  • General Data management principles

A key focus for this role will be to provide leadership in developing and ensuring adherence to a data integrity framework. Responsible for developing and maintaining a roadmap for data quality target state. Provide leadership in establishing data/metadata quality goals, and ensuring the design and implementation of initiatives to achieve those goals. Develop strategies to prioritize and remediate data quality issues that align with business needs and/or regulatory compliance initiatives.

The qualified candidate should have proven experience leading and building development teams for new and established applications. This includes a robust understanding of project methodology and process (including waterfall and agile), development best practices that lead to a stable production environment with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The successful Technology Manager will possess broad understanding across multiple domains and deliver through partner teams that include onsite and offshore resources.

Multiple locations are available for this position. Remote work may be an option for those candidates that have Telecommuting experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technology experience
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience, in an IT environment
  • 4+ years of leadership experience in a production environment
  • 4+ years of leadership or management experience

  • Management experience in a large corporate, multi-line business organization
  • Managing deployment and ongoing management and resolution of technical issues
  • Experience working with executives, senior managers and subject matter experts across Wells Fargo
  • Ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization
  • Knowledge and understanding of system deployment processes to multiple environment regions
  • Knowledge and understanding of database modeling techniques and theory
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 7+ years of proven application deployment experience with a complete knowledge, understanding and experience with Software Development Methodologies, including agile and waterfall
  • 7+ years of designing and implementing highly distributed, scalable, and performant back-end database processes - Staging, Data Enrichments and Strong data delivery techniques.
  • 7+ years of overall Database information architecture (ETL Architecture and Design), design, development and implementation experience in Relational and Dimensional databases.
  • 3+ years of experience as a facilitator of a team, providing strategic direction and self-organization guidance to quickly apply principles and process for tasks and information
  • Experience deploying and supporting large, complex data warehouse/business intelligence solutions.
  • Experience in IT asset management
  • Experience in business analysis techniques and data warehouse design techniques.
  • Proven ability to make tough decisions timely, accept challenging assignments, partner and overcome obstacles to deliver results in a face paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Knowledge of sources of data within Wells Fargo within the areas of Technology Asset Infrastructure inventory or Discovery.
  • Basic knowledge of Networking principles / paradigms
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of data integrity management practices and procedures
