job summary:

The Data Integration Developer will be responsible for advancing Company's strategic initiative to manage data as an asset through developing data services including but not limited to data integration and data quality solutions; providing a full range of services from concept to support.

This is an Agile environment so the person selected will be working with end users to gather requirements and work with the Architects to craft solutions and support application moving forwa rd. Experience Managing Big Data with enterprise integration experience would be key,

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Be a key contributor to Company's strategy to manage data as a strategic asset by influencing the design of and implementing data services that will transform how the enterprise leverages data to uncover insights and drive decision making.

-Understand and apply data integration patterns including ETL, ELT, messaging, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), queuing, and publish-subscribe

-Understand and apply data quality solutions that leverage data quality libraries for statistical profiling, textual analysis, numeric analysis, and pattern-based analysis

-Support and maintain existing data warehousing solution

-Develop automated solutions to replace manual process allowing team to focus on delivering value to its customers while ensuring solutions remain compliant with policies and standards

-Understand modern data architecture concepts such as data lake, stream processing, NOSQL, in-memory databases, and data virtualization

-Leverage a Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipeline that uses containerized deployments and build orchestration

-Work in an SCRUM environment with business partners, architects, and database engineers to deliver data integration, analytics and reporting solutions

-Assume responsibility for developing, implementing, and completing highly complex projects crossing organizational boundaries.

-Make decisions affecting the design, scheduling, and completion of projects.

-Utilize multiple advanced analytical techniques such as critical, creative, conceptual and intuitive thinking to analyze moderately high risk situations, generate multiple options and approaches while considering how the solution may change or impact the organization.

-Apply analysis to identify trends and predict future issues to effectively implement courses of action.

-Make timely recommendations to effectively solve problems, using independent judgment consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, and/or law.

-Professionally exercise discretion and independent judgment in day-to-day work

-Compliance with all processes, procedures, and standards applicable to the position including (but not limited to): SOC 1 ( Service Organization Controls 1), CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection), Change Management, Tariff (Open Access Transmission, Energy and Operating Reserve Markets Tariff), FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission), NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation), U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and NAESB (North American Energy Standards Board)

-Complete all other duties as assigned

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

-Knowledge of Message Processing and Integration Frameworks and protocols

-Familiarity with big data frameworks such as data lake, stream processing, NOSQL, in-memory databases, virtualization

-Proficient in various programming languages and tools including Java

-Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns

-Ability to work in a SCRUM environment

-Ability to learn, use, implement and integrate leading technologies.

-Knowledge of relational and no-SQL databases

PLUS:

-Data integration solutions such as Talend and Informatica

-Experience with no-SQL databases such as MongoDB

-Common Information Model (CIM)

BEHAVIORAL:

Good communication skills and a team work mindset.

*This is a contract to higher role with a salary range between $70K-$105K.
